uses up one of your AoOs

Chess Pwn I do appreciate your input, and from reading the entire thread I kind of thought that was your interpretation of the rule on this :). From my reading of it, I could see it going either way. Other people in this thread believe differently from you as well. I'm just hoping to get more faq requests so maybe we can get an official answer.

I, too, am interested in an answer.

Me as well. A concrete one, not an opinion. I've a swashbuckler that's playing with this and I'd like to know once and for all what I can tell her. For her, doesn't matter she's got the feat. But for the future it may matter a great deal

Your answer comes from your GM.

Yeah, but it should come from Paizo.

So some time in the next 3 years we might have a reply. In the mean time, ask your GM.

Better?

There are two different mechanics going on with an Attack of Opportunity.

When Paizo uses the text similar to "grants you another AoO" the rule is stating that you have the opportunity to take another AoO. However, that opportunity does not supplant the other rule that says you can only take so many AoOs in a round (1 or 1+Dex Mod w/ combat reflexes).

The Fortuituos enchant requires combat reflexes or some other way of allowing more than 1 AoO per round in order to take advantage of the AoO that it grants.

You probably won't get it. To have an official response from Paizo, this FAQ would have to gain a lot more votes to get it to the front page of the FAQ list. Even then you may be waiting. I have a Bard FAQ with 250+ votes that is still waiting for a response.

Your better bet is to go to Mark's thread in the Off-Topic section and ask him. You may get an unofficial response from him.

Lab_Rat's excellent analysis is too awesome to not give a +1!
