I'll probably use lvl1 rebuild rules to completely remake her as a different class entirely if I ever play PFS again...
Please come back.
I'm completely with you with the dislike of the unsummoner.
But what I see is a person who has put in the time to become a 2 star gm and in doing so probably gave a lot of others joy and entertainment. That should be valued. Don't let one thing rob you of the good times you've had in the past and can have in the future.
Spontanous suggestion:In the future, let gm stars count toward meeting grandfathering requirements. In case above, two stars and 2 games played would be enough to grandfather in a Summoner. This would be a good (and rare) benefit to give gms.
Oh lol, that was not at all why I stopped. Bad wording on my part!
It's just my weekly PFS group wanted something more concrete than the one-ofs that PFS scenarios were, so we moved to AP play. They just finished book 5 of Carrion Crown.

I guess I may live to regret building my Spiritualist before the actual main book gets released. Im still not convince I contribute all that much in each game he is in, and Ive been berated several times for taking the 'weakest' Anger type of Phantom.
I just like the class, but Ive got no real grasp on what their role is.
I am about 99.9% sure that there is not currently a kobold boon, I assume the dude is talking about a home game.
As for characters I regret, I used my first ifrit boon to make a Thassilonian evoker, I didn't really care for it, and then it died after someone convinced me to play up with it during In Wrath's Shadow. I didn't bother getting it raised. I got another ifrit boon that I'm thinking about using to make my original concept, an ifrit Winter Witch. But, I don't like arcane casters, so I'm not sure yet.
Scratch this. I REGRET NOTHING!!!!

I gave the idea for this and then my friend made it and played it.
Skin walker, crocodile. Multiclass barbarian/pack lord druid. Took as many crocodiles as possible with druid, and never levelled them up. Used hurler and foe hammer barbarian abilities so he could walk around the battle field throwing crocodiles at people. It took levels to set up, but it was insane.

Created a #-5 Witch and played it for two scenarios, thinking "Hexes? Sure, I'll give it a go."
Third and final scenario in was 6-01: Trial by Machine. The only function my witch had was to open doors. The rest of the party would ready actions, I would hit the door button, and then sit back and watch the rest of them go. I got full prestige and gold for being the party's doorman.
I've not run that one since playing- to relive that experience would just be too painful.

That's the same reason I avoid the super focused mages, witches, and the like. I hate not being able to do anything in a fight, and I feel like I take the fun away from the rest of the table if I just shut down a fight completely on round one. My -1 is a grappler (focused) brawler and I have to be careful to avoid doing just that.
I suppose I sort of regret my -3 ifrit enchanter/necromancer. The character concept is solid, a brother to my friend's ifrit alchemist, but I'm worried I'll end up going down the same path. Low levels had me specializing in denying an opponent's actions for a round, and it's slowly been more and more evident that I need to rebuild the character as a transmuter or something else. Otherwise I'll be shutting down fights or twiddling my thumbs at higher levels.

Played a dwarf zen archer in society forever. I started to lose interest in the game around level 8 or 9 because there was no longer any fear in the game. Enemies needed a 20 to hit me(40+ AC without trying, breaking 50 when I felt like it), and this was using old crane style (So I could deflect 1 per round). My saves were unbeatable, and my damage was damn fine without even trying. That character retired at 13, but was only ever hit twice.
I have since then made sure to build characters who have some sort of weakness, who need to actively pay attention in combat to survive, and who take damage frequently.

Oh really? Hmm. It was my very first character. Was it always not allowed? Maybe have played an illegal character for a while.
I wonder if it's not allowed because it's so damn worthless.

I have two characters which I rather not play anymore. The first one is a fighter/barbarian/ulfen guard who uses Thunder&Fang to two-weapon fight. I liked the image and idea of the character but in play it's quite boring to play and for a long time it was starved for skill points because of the classes so couldn't really bring the group anything expect subpar fighting.
The other is a witch who I created because I wanted a caster that could do other stuff besides spells. The problem is that on some scenarios she can just end the combat very quickly because of the hexes and sometimes she can't do much.

I've now come to regret making my ifrit inquisitor of Brigh. She's a blast to roleplay, but the loss of bane due to archetype (immolator) that leads to the inability to even get more rounds of that useless ability (can't take Extra/Extended Bane) has led to her being next to useless in combat now that she's level 7. I could theoretically rebuild her, but it would take all the fluff out of the character, and since I love her fluff... eh, guess she's now my second character that is retiring at level 7.

Maybe you botched building a character?
Maybe reality didn't match theory?
Maybe you built it TOO good?
I semi-retired my Zen Archer/Inquisitor because I built it to survive the worst S4&5 could throw at him. He was way too easy to twink out, so much so, that once I hit L10 it was too easy. I decided to semi-retire him, only pulling him out if absolutely necessary to help anyone else get to L12 for EoTT (or other Seeker play).
I have a L2 halfling agility-based tetori, which was more for theory crafting, that haven't touched in forever and probably will never get around to playing simply because I've played to the mid-teens with a grappler and it would be more of the same.
What character do you regret making and why?
I haven't gotten this far in Pathfinder; I can tell you about characters I *regretted playing with*, but so far I like all of my characters.

Dudette, just buff her judiciously, always Power Attack and avoid scenarios with elementals. You saw how simply awesome Vayu worked in the No-Precision-Damage Connection.
It's just the haps. I can think of a similar insurmountable foe. In [redacted], Vayu tried to TWF something to death when they had blur on and his shield was not made of freaking cold iron.
Conversely, sometimes you get a back alley brawl against humanoids and lo, they end up doubledead. Never retire. Never.

Aside from the headaches my monk has had to deal with on the ever-changing Crane Wing, the main regret that comes to mind is my Sacred Huntsmaster. Primary focus is AoO teamwork build. Since this requires higher dex I opted for a dex build which led to the dilemma of how best to get dex to damage.
I figured a level dip was the way to go so I considered 2 levels in Lore Warden, 1 in Dervish of the Dawn, or 1 in Daring Champion. I opted for daring champion to pick up martial weapons, combat expertise, full BAB, front-load teamwork feats, and tactician thinking it was the better investment. I think it will shine once I hit character level 6 to combine Bane and an agile weapon enchant. In the meantime, I somewhat regret not grabbing Dervish for immediate dex to damage although it would have cost BAB progression and the other benefits would not have synergized well with my original ability score choices.
Either way, I rp my guy to be a recovering blood-thirsty 'Russian' half-orc that was befriended by a group of Serenrae worshipping gnomes that hooked him up with a therapy pet as part of his redemption and to help keep his bloodlust in check. However, it is disheartening when Borris the Butcher (for Goodness) puts out less than 10 damage on a crit. :(

I was working on a Brawler/Cavalier/Battle Herald for PFS. Right before his first scenario at level 2,I got cold feet about playing a martial with poor AC until level 4 that would spend the rest of his days stuck in full plate.
So, I opted for a Kitsune Unchained Rogue with Realistic Likeness.
The idea of playing a social infiltrator seemed nice, but I came to reflect on how many scenarios would allow me to actually USE that niche ability. And then I thought about how many tables with eager players would make it difficult. Then I realized that if I somehow DID do my thing, it might end up as 1 on 1 RP while the other players wait.
To be fair, just playing a Stealth character has most of these problems, and often times the party will only have one Face if that.
Still. Cool concept. Feels like it belongs in a home game. Wondering if I should retrain his class levels or just tough it out and play a fairly competent dex rogue with a fun trick he'll use 3 or 4 times on his way to level 12.
Kinda missing that Brawler, though.
