Ranged Blood rager build advice

Advice

So,I'm playing kingmaker in a home game. My previous character dies, so the gm is letting me roll a new one, at level 6. I am a drow assassin type, and wanted to play an arcane archer. Needing a +6 bab, and first level arcane spells, I realized blood rager is the fastest path to this. After looking further I started to realize it wasn't a bad combo, getting an adaptive composite bow right off the start. So I'm going to post my build, with the need for critic, as I am sure I'm missing something.

Level 6 drow blood rager, 25 point buy

STR 14
DEX 18
CON 14
INT 10
WIS 8
CHA 16

Feats :
point blank shot
precise shot
weapon focus <longbow>
combat reflexes

Bloodrager line : arcane

Edit : forgot to add that I'm starting arcane archer at level 7, when i level up

Let me know what you think

Thanks

I'm not certain why Arcane and Combat Reflexes. If I were to choose those characteristics, I would be looking at Iron Will as a bonus feat.

Did you consider Fey bloodline? Confusing Critical and Leaping Charger could keep enemies at bay if you retreat through difficult terrain. You can still take Combat Reflexes as a Bloodline Feat. If you stay one extra level, you would get Entangle as a bonus spell -- difficult terrain and entangled enemies should make the archery much more effective.

Destined would actually give you Weapon Focus at 6th if you wanted more archery feats or Arcane Strike. So would Elemental, but I'm not sure that fits as well with a Drow character. The downside is that the powers probably aren't as useful.

I was also considering destined. I picked arcane, because of the free spells when you rage. Could spider climb up a wall or get blur for added melee defense. And combat reflexes, because I was thinking of taking the snapshot feats. BUT I'm open to suggestions as I haven't actually played this character yet so I can still alter it

The spiderclimb is certainly good. I'm not familiar with Kingmaker, so I don't know how often you would be in the wilderness versus urban and underground settings. On the other hand, blur is always useful.

What spells do you plan to know?

Overall, it seems like an interesting build. I hadn't really considered a blood Rager as the basis for an archer. One problem I do see is that pretty much every feat you get is going to be taken up by Archery feats, although you may be able to skip the ones that negate cover given you will be getting phase arrow. The other problem is the low will saves.

If you want to do damage with arrows you want at least one feat to help that. Deadly Aim or Rapid Shot is what I mean. Combat Reflexes/Snap Shot is a luxury that a class with relevant bonus feats might take, it's not there not for you as a bloodrager. Your next feat should be Manyshot BTW.

Tremor Blast looks like a nice spell to use with Imbue Arrow when you get that.

I was thinking of switching to destined, and dropping combat reflexes and picking up many shot instead. Spell list is still up in the air. Thinking burning hands for sure.

Alao, with destined, I could pick up dates favored, and get +2 to ac and saves. Might be better than occasional spider climb

Burning Hands? Unless you're fighting swarms a lot, why? For the most part you'll be better to just shoot things or to get out a sword and hit them.

You don't get a general feat at level 6, Manyshot isn't on any bloodrager bloodline feat list IIRC, and Manyshot has a prereq of BAB +6. You'll need to get Rapid Shot or Deadly Aim or something instead.

Burning hands because I can add it to my arrows at level 2 arcane archer

Destined is sounding like a better choice, especially since it allows you to pick up the Weapon Focus needed by Arcane Archer as a Bloodline Feat. Too bad the first level power doesn't work with ranged attacks.

I would suggest Clustered Shot for your 7th level feat when you get there, help you punch through any DR.

Since you would have the spell casting, I'm thinking Arcane Strike may be better than Deadly Shot. It is nice for Blood Ragers since they have full caster level so at 5th level you are getting +2 damage. Rapid Shot is still a good choice as well.

Arcane Strike would be good, yeah. You can grab Many Shot or Deadly Aim at level 7 if you wish, which would be nice, but Arcane Strike just screams "better" at this point. You lose nothing and you get a flat damage boost for a swift action.

EDIT: Nevermind, Clustered Shot is better.

Also, since you're an archer anyway... Snap Shot + Improved Snap Shot are worth considering at later levels if enemies find ways to get into your face a lot with Combat Reflexes. If they happen to be melee spellcasters, your Arcane bloodline would be more effective at stopping them from casting spells within your 15 foot threatened area. I don't know if this is the BEST option, but it seems a natural fit for an Arcane Bloodrager.

Burning Hands doesn't get added to your arrows by Imbue Arrow. Imbue Arrow lets you drop a BH just about anywhere you can see as a standard action, but that's about it.
