Most Awesome battlefield control spells.

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Now, I'm not talking about the best battlefield control spells, what I'm asking about is: What are the most Awesome battlefield control spells. What spells can make folks gape in awe, what spells completely alter the way the battlefield work, what spells make your foes shake in terror, what spells make foes excrete in their pants? What spells make you go "HOLY S***!" when they are cast? What spells feel like they move mountain, shake the earth you stand on, and, all in all, just have fluff and/or crunch that truely feels worth of awe?

All in all, what spells are Awesome.

Silver Crusade

Here's one: equip your allies, in advance, with Featherstep Slippers and reach weapons. Augment with a Wand of Featherstep at low levels. Start as a Cleric of Fandarra. Choose the Variant Channel (Earth) archetype. Your channel fills the battlefield with Difficult Terrain. Your side now has so many tactical advantages that your opponents have little chance. Unless your foes can fly, or the odds were incredibly lopsided at start, the battle is essentially over.

Here's a Mystic Theurge who starts with that approach, then ups the ante:

Targets caught in all three overlapping Areas of Effect take a little [negative] & a little [Cold] damage, are entangled for 2 rounds & thus move at half speed, difficult terrain costs double movement, are on a patch of slippery icy grease, possibly prone (only outcome affected by Reflex save), and find themselves menaced by a giant with a polearm.

Or is this an example of battlefield control that is super-effective, but lacks the awesome finality of a gigantic fireball?

I love the visuals on Aqueous Orb, go all Dumbledore versus Voldemort. Adding Dazing Spell to it makes it utterly hilarious and devastatingly effective.

I had fun with enemy hammer in addition to picking up a big bad and getting to go all bam bam and leaving the bodies as difficult terrain, I picked up the party's synthesist summoner and pounded an bbeg half to death as he was large size and past his fort still getting his actions. I think the spell has great fluff I can see a wizard on the battlements and the leader of an invading army telling him to surrender and using magic he casually picks up the leader and beats the general with him till both are paste all while shouting "NO SOLICITORS"
