I recently made a nice little wizard for PFS, which I'd like a bit of advice on long-term. By this I mean critique on my plans as they stand here, and spell selection for beyond first level. Also, I wonder whether it's worth it to scribe more than a few spells into my spellbook. The spells I want most are summons, battlefield control, some good evocations, and a few buffs. Also planning on getting spells like Burning Gaze and Snapdragon Fireworks for my familiar, who has Spell Sponge. I will be scribing those using GP, as my free slots are obviously limited. And so, without further ado...Hmm, now what should I say next?
Imrahil Galebreath
Human Conjurer (Teleportation) X
Str 7
Dex 14
Con 14
Int 20
Wis 11
Cha 7
Traits: Adopted (Militant Merchant), Reactionary.
Feats by level:
Wizard 1: Spell Focus (Conjuration), Augment Summoning, Academae Graduate.
Wizard 3: Superior Summons.
Wizard 5: Deific Obedience.
Evangelist 2: Improved Familiar (Imp).
Evangelist 4: Opposition Research (Necromancy or Enchantment?)
Evangelist 6: Not many ideas for this level. Maybe Great Fortitude, to help me with Academae Graduate?
Spells, as of level one:
Cantrips: Another good place to say my opposition schools are necromancy and enchantment.
1st-level: Grease, Summon Minor Monster, Mage Armor, Infernal Healing, Comprehend Languages, Color Spray, Crafter's Fortune, Magic Missile.
Skills: 1 in Craft (tattoos), Knowledge (arcana, local, nature, planes, and religion), Perception, and Spellcraft.

Mostly a roleplay concern, but would Protection from Evil be good? (mostly thinking of 'wizard for the crusader god', which leads to 'anti demon wizard'.
The fact that it is a decent buff and good against summoned demons and devils and such is a nice bonus. It gives you an option to use against OTHER conjurers, which is appropriate because your traits indicate that you were in a summoning focused school with cultural ties to Cheliax. If nothing else, it stops the local imps from using suggestion spells on you.

Yeah, that was my second-level plan, though the thing about how one spell every level has to be your specialty school comes in, too, making it a hard choice. Good thing I didn't learn Summon Monster 1 yet. It's needless to say I would have gotten it at some point, but the sooner, the better.
I never thought about the Chelaxian ties, but now it seems really obvious. I do like to roleplay, so thanks for the idea.

I actually don't know the seeker rules, so I don't know whether he'll be able to get the final boon. My high intelligence is mainly for skill monkey-ness and the extra level 1 spell, so I can rival a sorcerer for a little while in that regard, as well as slightly improved concentration. Plus, I plan on getting some evocations soon. Actually, I'm liking the idea of lowering intelligence a bit, I think I'll boost my wisdom a bit. But what else should go up? And maybe Spell Penetration is a good choice for level 11, for some nice icing?
How exactly do the 1st-tier boons operate? It says 'or' on Archives of Nethys, do you pick one SLA set at the start of the day?

As far as I know, this has never been answered. I think most people assume that you make the choice when you first get the boon and then live with your choice.
And yeah, the third boon won't kick in until 14, but you'll have second one at 11, which is what it looks like you're building at. I'd personally go Admixturer wizard so that energy resistance will almost never be an issue, and then at level 14, the occasional devil or demon that has resistance or immunity to every element will be in for a rude surprise when you blow them up anyhow.

Admixture was my second choice, and I guess it depends on which one I want to do for a living and which one I got a minor degree in. I mostly figured that summoning was a better major for all it does, though it occurs to me that the most important aspects of my build are feats, not class features. Therefore, I think I'll give admixture a try. Will change my first post accordingly.
Either I'm missing a reference here, or that's Wizard of Awesome? If so, you don't need to apologize. I make corny puns all the time.

The Knights of Ozem are a bunch of anti-undead paladins that venerate Iomedae. And the name does sound like Knights of Awsome. This is intentional.
Also probably a reference to a certain floating green head from a certain 70(?)+ year old film.

I'm Lawful Neutral. I could be even farther away from LG if I wanted, but I need to be within one step for the evangelist class. Given that as long as I personally pray via Deific Obedience, it doesn't make a difference. In fact, I consider the church of Iomadae to be weak for not seizing power it could easily reap. I like playing this "god wizard" style as long as I keep it in control. Thanks for the reference clue-in, I tried to search it as soon as I replied to the post, but our connection went down due to a power failure. Suffice to say I hope to not be engaged in any melee, rather summoning my celestial hagfish or hawk minions to do it for me.

You actually seem to be more suited to be a Wizard of Baphomet than Iomedae. Just go quasit instead of imp.

No such luck for a PFS character, I'm afraid... Demon Lords (and Demonic Obediences) aren't PFS legal, and even if they were, going that route would torpedo his plans for the Evangelist prestige class, as it requires Deific Obedience.
Personally, I'd say your character sounds like a shoe-in for a Chelaxian Asmodeus follower (though as I play one myself, I'm a bit biased there), but if it's Iomedae's specific Obedience boons you're after, I think you might have some trouble from an RP perspective... Iomedae's not exactly known for tolerating those who traffic with fiends.

You didn't happen to stash away an aasimar before they went off the legal race list, did you? Because a celestial imp would be funny. I could conceivably see it working as a quest to redeem the tortured soul of the lowly imp even.

A: I didn't like the Asmodeus boons as much, and I think it's more flavorful in a different way this way. Granted, not too long ago I thought that all Chelaxians were hellbent (sorry) on being Lawful Evil, though that certainly doesn't apply to Valeros.
B: There we go. I figured that out after failing to fall asleep for a few hours.
C: No Aasimar boon, I'm sorry to say, and if I had had one, it would be gone by now. I could just take Racial Heritage if I really wanted it, I guess.

I'd be careful with both Infernal Healing and the Imp familiar. Either could get you booted from the church.
If you're going to be an evoker, I'd recommend new feats. If staying a summoner, i'd raise Charisma. You'll want it for things like planar binding.
Well, I don't need many feats to be good at evocation, so this way I remain proficient in both that and summoning.
Also, I figured I could get high enough Knowledge checks for some true names, but I need to figure out how Planar Binding works differently in PFS and if I want to use it at all. I figure if I can research true names and don't summon lawful or good creatures (shame, I think an accuser devil would be a great asset), I'd be fine.

The Knights of Ozem aren't that big on such folks either.

On to a bit of spell selection, this is a rudimentary (I'm barely checking anything) list of spells I'd like to have earlier than later when each spell level comes along. Mostly in order.
2nd: Summon Monster II, Flaming Sphere, Web, Burning Gaze, Create Pit, Scorching Ray. Probably more here and there.
3rd: Fireball, Summon Monster III, Haste, Fly, Slow, Spiked Pit?
These are the highest spell levels I've played as a wizard. I'm off to do a bit of playtesting with spells I find to see which ones I like most.

For conjuration, I love me some pit spells along with Hydraulic Push. The wonderful wording of Create Pit contains this little gem:
"Creatures subjected to an effect intended to push them into the pit (such as bull rush) do not get a saving throw to avoid falling in if they are affected by the pushing effect."
This helps overcome successful reflex saves! As an added bonus Hydraulic Push comes with:
Saving Throw none
Edit: I am playing with an arcane sorcerer of Arshea/Mystery Cultist who uses the pit/push quite a bit, but sorcerers have a lot more spells/day so I can abuse 'tricks' a little easier. I have been considering tweaking her for PFS play, so thanks for the reminder!

True. Of course, Reflex is usually the easiest save to target, making the spell extra nice. Also, if you're new to this thread, he's supposed to be an Admixturer, not a Conjurer (I couldn't edit), but his feats are the same. His current purpose is summoning, but I wanted evocation specialty because the conjuration features were not imperative to a summoning build. Those would be the feats.
Does anyone have an opinion on a nice non-spell attack routine? I'll probably buy a wand of magic missile because I'm hoping it doesn't come down to using my crossbow or a cantrip. It's kind of strange to think I'm missing all those 1st-level blasty school/bloodline/domain powers.
Another little tweak: My familiar is now a rabbit.

I was perusing the Iomadae section in Archives of Nethys, trying to remember the obedience boon, when I came across a spell for worshippers of Iomadae, including sorcerers/wizards! Light Prison is its name, and it doesn't make a lot of sense. It seems like it has potential, what are the thoughts of the Peanut Gallery? I'm not very proficient with linking here, sorry. It targets Reflex and can target multiple creatures, that's something right there.
