Which Auction House Settlements have Tier Two or better weapons and armor?

Title says it all. I have a level 8 wizard still running around in Tier One armor and weapons. Need to upgrade, where can I go to buy it? In the NE preferably.

AH..? Ask instead who to ask! ... My guess would be Emerald Lodge, at least that bunch have been quite vocal about helping out and supporting us other peasants :-)

I'm not interested in Coin, at least not in Alpha when the market is not viable, but if you have T2 Recipes to trade, I'll gladly make you Adept's Charged Wand +0, Adept's Charged Staff +0, and Embroidered Silk Robes +0.

I need to check with Flitwyck if he is able to do any tier 2 wizard stuff.

I never planned for tier 2.

I have available Smelter (8), Tanner (8), Weaponsmith (8), Tailor (7), Weaver (7).

The Weaponsmith has enough XP to go to 10. He is currently forging his first Dwarven Steel Dagger - and then will start producing Dwarven Steel Long Swords.

Bunibuni, one of your own people is making T2 wands, for sure. Takasi/Haagen. You should probably talk to him for starters.

I have some Comfortable Shoes. They are Tier 2 but need Tannery 9. At that level, they better be comfortable. :P

1 person marked this as a favorite.

The real trick here is getting the people with the proper skills hooked up with the proper recipes.

This is not easy with only a small fraction of each group playing Alpha. It requires coordination and cooperation.

For all its faults, the Auction House system can be very helpful if two players find it difficult to get online at the same time. Each side of an exchange runs the risk that a third party will buy their item, but with the current near-abandonment of the AHs, I'd call it a pretty small risk.

Speaking of which, I have all the mats for a T2 Spear and a new T2 Long Bow.

@Thod, can you make the spear if I get you the Oak Pole, Moderate Varnish, and requisite coal, iron and loadstone?

@Nihimon, can you make me the Oak Poles, Composite Staves, and Cotton Twine if I get you the mats?

@Somebody, who can do the Moderate Varnish and who can make the bow?

I think you overestimate its ability to substitute for the desired use. If my gatherer has spent the better part of a day accumulating materials for my crafter, transferring them one-sale-at-a-time through the auction house is going to mean a lot of work, even presuming you think to keep a list of all the materials you gathered and placed. It might also mean making sure that the crafter character has a way to keep dozens, if not hundreds, of copper pieces available.

That's true. I was thinking more in terms of "I'll trade you a T2 long sword for a T2 chain mail recipe," rather than "How can I transfer 200 raw materials from a gatherer to a crafter?". By "difficulty getting two characters online at the same time," I meant an Aussie trying to trade with a Brit, not trading between two characters on the same account. That's a tougher problem.

Almost certainly. I'll check tonight.

I have the recipe for Dwarven Steel Spear. There is a real hang up in ranking to use it. The Achieves don't seem to be coming through unless that toon is online when the item finishes.

Ah yeah, forgot that the spear requires a recipe. Glad to see someone has it. Let me know if you manage to get to a place where you can make it. I still need an Apothecarist.

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

I'll check and see whether my apothecary has the ability to make moderate varnish, or if I have enough xp banked to quickly skill up to it.

@Bringslide / sspitfire
Yes - I would need the recipe as well as Oakpole and Varnish. I do have Dwarvensteel ingots and happy to throw them in.

Lito (my son's character actually) just went up to Weaponmaster 9. The spear would allow him to get to 10.

It is late here in the UK - but happy to be back tomorrow and plan to come to the stress tests on the weekend. If I need to go anywhere then please let me know.

PM might be safer as posting back here.

Edit: 1 Dwarvensteel Longsword is now in work - but I didn't put a second one in - so the queue is empty tomorrow evening. The sword takes 15 hours. Unfortunately the weaponsmith is an elf. He became weaponsmith at the time when the bonus didn't work and made you worse - so an elf was the best option ...

No sane person is going to trek across to TK or a craft settlement and put a T2 weapon on an AH where no-one has any idea it is there and have it drop back to the vault in a town you rarely visit after 2 days. The AH system is next to useless and should have been left out of game until it was functional.

You could probably sell T2 weapons at TK by listing them on the AH and then posting in the local TK chat they were available - but what on earth would you do with the coin you earned anyway ? (across my various alts I probably have all up 20 or 30 thousand copper but there is nothing to spend it on)

As stated above - direct barter is the way to go though removal of the general chat has sort of killed that a bit as well. I suppose we could all move back to TK :D

If I, playing late at night in Arizona (currently Mountain time), want to trade one long sword for one apothecary recipe with someone who plays early in the evening in US Eastern time, or heaven forbid, with a European, then the two of us can arrange, through private messages on the Paizo web site, to place our respective items on a given Auction House. Since virtually nobody uses the Auction Houses, we can be pretty confident that we will be the only people looking for those items on that Auction House. Think of it as a not-very-secure dead drop.

See above regarding Ryan's comment that the Auction Houses will be fixed (hopefully soon).

Edit: Not "above", but in a different thread.

There was a statement from The Dancey in chat some days ago. It was that they are going to fix length and the items showing that there are no sales for. Admittedly "ASAP" can really mean anything, but there is hope.

Here.
