Interest Check: 2-3 Week, High Powered, Battle Heavy, Do-Whatever-The-Heck-You-Want Campaign.

So I'm kind of itching to kill somebody. So I'm proposing a campaign that should really only be about 2-3 weeks but be filled to the brim with battles and things. Any alignment is fine because what you do doesn't change the story in anyway. If you so choose to try and slaughter your party then props to you, but if the bard you betrayed happened to become best buddies with a war chief then you better be ready to fight your party +30 soldiers. There's gong to be plenty of opportunities to make allies and foes so don't count out the people-pleaser characters. If we end up having a blast then I'll probably extend it a little longer, but I'm not really looking for a long-term game. Oh, one more thing, if you die- sorry. You can make another character, but you're going to be thrown back into the pot with the rest of the remaining applicants. So that makes it very likely for you to get in. This is just an interest check, so if it generates enough buzz then I will open up the actual recruitment.

How high-powered are we talking? High level? Gestalt? Mythic? All of the above?

Additionally, what are your opinions on Dreamscarred Press' stuff?


High leveled and Gestalt for sure, not sure about mythic yet.

And I haven't looked at their stuff yet, but as a general rule I say no third party stuff.

And you can check out most of DSP's stuff for free on d20pfsrd. Most of it is pretty neat, especially the stuff for melee characters (Aegis, Soulknife, Path of War classes, etc.).


I'd be interested for sure. A sickening amount of power sounds fun right now, but I'm not keen on using mythic rules. I want to be a Wizard, and do wizardly things.


How much of a challenge do you want to go with your superpowers?

I was in a game that was originally gestalt but the GM decided to go "Free Archetypes" instead because it was less of a headache.

Basically, players choose a class and either one or two archetypes.

If one archetype - character gains abilities of the archetype and all of the class' base abilities (no substitution)

If two archetypes - character gains all of the abilities of both archetypes. They replace the standard class abilities with the archetype that replaces the most features.

Okay, I'm about to open up a legitimate recruitment for this campaign. So I looked it over and, unless I just happen to get a party that wants to do mythic, I won't be running a mythic campaign.

@The Dragon- I want battle to be challenging enough to where everything come into play, (i.e. Strategy, Allies, Abilities, and-of course-Dice rolls). The leveling will go from 18-20.

@LibraryRPGamer- That's a cool idea, but I like gestalt games. However, if you would like to build a character with Free Archetypes then that is certainly fine with me.


Sounds like a plan. Hmm. I never actually played a character higher than level twelve. Been in plenty of gestalt campaigns, though. Should be fun stuff, albeit the high-level spells look a little intimidating. They change the logistics a lot, I'd think.
