This thread is for any folks looking for certain recipes so they can continue to rank up their crafting.

Does anyone have a +X steel wire recipe?

I'm willing to trade one recipe for another, or materials.

Currently in Talonguard (West of Emerald spire) crafting some items,
I'm trying to make some +1 armour so I can take the next level of armour smith,
without needing to gamble on the chance of a +1 or +2 steel wire being made from a +0 steel wire batch.

A map to help folks find the spot.

Use ThornKeep or the Emerald spire as a reference point so new players can quickly find the settlement your advertising from

I think folks should use ThornKeep or the Emerald Spire as a reference for quickly finding out where some settlements are.

Rathglen is about 13 hexes West of Thornkeep for those that have a hard time finding it.

At one stage TEO had several thousand left over Steel Wire +3 from a crafting experiment they were trading at Brighthaven. no idea if they have any left.

As far as recipes go, I think I have an extra Steel Wire +2 recipe stashed somewhere but not sure without logging in.

Hey, bring back a couple of +x ingot recipes (I'm + blocked in weaponsmithing in Talonguard).

I am interested to see if we get any in-game bulletin boards for wtb/wts. I think that would be a great extra in the taverns or something, better than a spammed trade channel. Maybe not as efficient as a forum post, but it would be fun.

and Am a talonguard resident.

I also have 2 +1 ingots left from making a +1 longsword

I agree a board in the taverns is a good idea.

You need +1 strips for a +1 weapon

The + value of the final product is based on Character Skill, Crafting Facility Quality, and the average of the averages of the Refined Components. That "average of the average" is a bit to wrap your head around, but really provides a lot of depth, and is the place where true market-oriented Characters will make their killing.

For example, a Steel Longsword requires 3 Steel Ingots and 1 Basic Strip. If you used 3 Steel Ingots +2 and 1 Basic Strip +0, the average of the average would still come out as +1. Likewise, if you used 3 Steel Ingots +1 and 1 Basic Strip +5, you'd get a +3 Steel Longsword. That's without taking into account Character Skill or Crafting Facility Quality.

You can also fiddle the quality of stuff within a requirement.

For example under Alpha 10 making a +1 Pot Plate worked fine with 11 sets of Steel Plate +1 . However with skills taken into account you also got a perfectly fine +1 Pot Plate with just 9 of the +1 and the two plates only +0.

I could use a steel wire +2 or +3 recipe. Currently saving up +2 wire by making +1 over and over again getting a small amount of +2 each batch. I normally hang out in the keepers pass area but often make coal runs to Rathglen.

I am pretty sure one of my crafters has a spare +2 recipe at Keepers maybe even a +3, I have two smelt alts, but they both can make +2 or +3 wire already so its just sitting around (Last I logged in my main smelter alt was able to make dwarven ingots and blanks and was a few XP off dwarven steel plate).

I probably have about 200 recipes in the vault ? Not sure. I will log in some time and have a look and let you know. One problem is there is no contract facility to transfer stuff to other specific players as you need to log in and meet at a specific time and place.

Nimitz from keepers if he is still around can also craft +3 wire. Between Nimitz, Kaziil and I we had pretty much all the T1 armor/weapon/magic options covered at KP as about 3 weeks ago. The main issue back then was KP was empty, it was pointless refining or crafting anything as there as n one to give/trade it too. I gather settlement numbers may have picked up a lot lately which is promising :D

Also TEO over at Bright Haven had a heap of +3 wire made and sitting around at one stage (some random thing they did trying to make +4 wire I think). They had something like 2000 +3 wire they were trading for pretty much the mats.

I got a batch of the +3 off TEO to make my +3 Acolyte Holy Symbols and +3 Occult/Battle Focus's (back when I was doing a lot of iconography) though I assume you guys are actually trying to churn out Quiet Shirts for rogue types rather than focuses and symbols.

Yeah, I've been trying to keep our rogues equipped. As far as numbers go there were six of us on tonight along with six from Phaeros, and a few from neighboring guilds. We had an escalation stomping party and plan to do it again tomorrow.

I am happy with the numbers KOTC has shown lately :). Thanks for the offer, WxCougar mentioned trying to be on at a time that matches your schedule better sometime.

I finally managed to get a steel wire +3 recipe. It was in the same run cougar got the hard boiled leather recipe. I most likely won't be on tonight but will try to be on tomorrow for a bit. I plan to head north in search of working iron, coal and copper nodes.

Yeah I know all of the nodes I used to harvest are broken though it was reported that there are some near Forgeholm that are working. So my current plan is to explore a bit :)

Be aware that a +1 Introductory Symbol just gives you the ability to slot more level 1 expendable spells.

To slot level 2 or level 3 spells you need a Novitiates Holy Symbol or Acolytes Holy Symbol.

Locke is a Dowser/Sage with minor Iconographer skills and a Divine combat (and minor heal has saved my ### several times while solo gathering and failing to avoid far enough). Need to get to 18XXX d\for sage 7 and then XP the spells, but need to buy them first.

@RHMG Animator, Let me see what I need to make another +1 symbol. I expect I need more Plus steels wire or silver bar. PM about where you are and what the spell options are.
Navitiate holy symbol(no plusses holds up to level 3 and hods 5 levels, +1 hold 7 levels).

I need to return to tavern hold where most of my material is banked.

And I have some +2 Steel wire and +0 Silver bars if needed.
I can try to make a +1 or +2 silver bar, if it's needed for it.

12 steel wire and 4 silver. +3 would be better. I am not sure what effect Talongard craft level will have. I am making a batch of +3 Sepia in Talonguard. Do you know an Iconographer local?

This is enough for 2, one for you and one for me (upgrading my +1 to a +2 or plus 3 is the craft level is good enough).

I need to figure out how to make this part of a bug report.

1) hexes that are next to communities that are not active in harvesting ( say small population or militant) are usually easy to harvest. After 2 easy harvest ( 90% or better), the third hess has major reduction. If no one as been harvesting a hex should active (stripper) be prevented from harvesting.

I have leatherworker lvl 10 recipe Medium leather pouches for trade if anyone needs it. Absolutely useless, unless you need the lvl 10 points to progress. I would trade it for a leather armour recipe other than Piecemeal Brigandine.
