Was a gunna go ta jail - I thought law types din't like bandits, why din't they like me getti'n rid o' tha bandits? Then, bam! Drandle Dreng came in, said he hada use for a feral halfling, and dropped me in with a buncha adventurers. Dun really know what I's doin, I just follow the talky ones, but I get to kill evil things, so it works!

Liberty's Edge 5/5

Half-Elf summoner 12
I'm in it for the travel, the adventure, and the business contacts.

But mostly I'm in it for the ladies.

Your worship of outsiders dilutes your loyalty to the Lodge.

Silver Crusade 5/5

Shackleborn Hellknight Paladin of Iomedae
Being a member of the society allows me a certain degree of latitude to expand the influence of the Nail. Officially, I act as a liaison between the Order of the Nail and the Society. On a personal note, the Society sanctions my crusades against the demons of the worldwound in a way that the Nail would never be able to.

Grand Lodge 5/5

Aasimar Celestial/Destined Steelblood Bloodrager
I seek the body of Aroden, the God-Emperor of Mankind, where he sits upon his throne. The Society is the best chance for my brother and I to do so.

It was never cool. And never will be. Now quit bemoaning the loss of something you never had and hand me that skull, I have important work to do...

The Exchange 3/5

Yin Al'rath (Eldritch Knight / Arcane Archer) - Hired by Venture Captain Yasmin Kal'al to escort Pathfinder caravans to and from Absalom. Through this arrangement he eventually became a Pathfinder himself.

Averaka (Brawler / Monk / Bloodrager) - She joined the Pathfinder Sovereign Court to maintain the interests of Stavian III, the emperor of Taldor, as is tradition for the Ulfen.

Ifrit Swashbuckler/Bard/Paladin 9

Wellll... I was passed from orphanage to orphanage. I'm told normal toddlers are a handful, so, I'm sure toddlers with flames instead of hair and the ability to ignite things with their minds are a different matter entirely. Anyway, I ended up with the Dervishes, and was raised in the church of Sarenrae. I appreciate everything the did for me, but I needed a bit more in my life, I wanted adventure. One of elders had been a pathfinder in her younger days, and she was able to get me in.

After that? I stayed because I got what I wanted. Travel the world, go to interesting places, kill everyone there, and walk out with the treasure. Exactly what I thought I wanted. Things were great.

Then I accepted an assignment to explore the depths of a ruined siege tower. The sheer magnitude of the evil... it overwhelmed me. He chuckles. It's funny that I had to go to the depths of Bonekeep to finally see the light of dawn.

Now? I stay because this is where I'm needed. With the help of the Silver Crusade, I've been able to dedicate myself to purging undeath from the world, one vampire at a time.

I don't recall bemoaning anything. You might be confusing me with the legions of knock-offs who thought that angst was somehow a necessary part of being a good-aligned tiefling.

The Exchange 3/5

I just made a Neutral aligned Archaeologist that I'm excited to get to play in a game.

Lantern Lodge 5/5

1 person marked this as a favorite.

"Being a good-aligned teifling" is not a character personality.

At least the angst is a bit of personality. Humility might be more interesting. Especially for a paladin.

Never said it was. Just said it didn't imply bemoaning anything, despite what one might infer from the frequency of such characters being so angsty.

4/5

True but neither is being someone making poor choices with
necromancy.

Sovereign Court 4/5

Reegog joined the society after losing his village. (It kind of happens when you take extra time to figure things out and have a tendency to break things by accident). It was a bonus that no-one threw things at him to make him upset, unlike most of his peers. Now as a Seeker, he keeps an eye on his "relative" Prince Stavian (never going to use that title of Grand), and prepares to right the family wrong and take back the throne of Taldor.

Silver Crusade 5/5 *

What is angsst, I don't know. I just try to do good, like fixing inn overnight. Sorry it fall down. I work for dawn lady, heal people and stand in front of friends. Hurt bad people that hurt good people. Try to help bad people learn good people. I trouble doing reports, write is hard. Other pathfinders help me and tell me what to do lots of times.

While Salurial joined the worship of Sarenrae for redemption, he doesn't really remember that anymore, he mostly is a lovable idiot that helps people, even using Ultimate Mercy often times on NPC's. Though some of his attempts at helping have failed catastrophically. (he once stayed up all night to help make repairs on a inn while is comrades slept and netted a -2 total on his knowledge engineering check, collapsing the inn) Mostly deals non-lethal damage during combat with his unarmed strike. He certainly isn't angst ridden.

Dark Archive

Things go wrong in the dark. Zarta pays me to right the wrongs and wrong the rights. It all makes sense when the inky blackness rolls down the corridor and you cant breathe. Its better if you hold your breath and don't look. It will be over soon.

Grand Lodge 3/5

As an Order of the Cockatrice Cavalier, I need the means to spread the awesomeness that is me around the largest possible area; my character figured that the Pathfinder Society was a good medium for this.

Grand Lodge 4/5

Gorum approves when I gain glory for him in battle, and those pathfinders they always find me something to fight.

All glory to GORUM!!!!!!!!!!!

Raglum, Warpriest of Gorum

Because if I kill enough of those monsters that Lamashtu controls, I will wrest control of monsters from her and it will be available for Desna.

That uh... that's actually a pretty unique motivation. Can't say I've heard that one before.

Silver Crusade 4/5

Thank you,

I am an inquisitor of Desna. Just little different than most.

As the APG says:

Although inquisitors are dedicated to a deity, they are above many of the normal rules and conventions of the church. They answer to their deity and their own sense of justice alone, and are willing to take extreme measures to meet their goals.

And I'm <Bwwwaaaaakkkk> a little nervous tal- <bwwwwaaaakkkk> -king about it.
