We want to include some sample characters for our introductory adventure, The Opened Mind, for players who have never used psionics before and just want to start playing, not spend the time it takes to build a character from scratch, especially when they don’t know how psionics works.
So, we're running a contest!
There are entry prizes as well as four top prizes.
Just for submitting a character, we’ll give you a 10% off coupon for any product in our store. Characters submitted must be complete and follow the rules listed in the contest to receive this prize.
If your character is selected as one of the four characters to be included in The Opened Mind, you’ll win any one PDF of your choice from the Dreamscarred store plus a PDF copy of The Opened Mind and credit as a contributing author.
You can read the full details of the contest at the new Dreamscarred website

Unfortunately, it's pretty hard to have standard starting wealth when starting wealth is expressed in dice. Perhaps it's meant to be average?
I'm 99% sure the average amount stated in the class write up is what you should use, but it should be noted organized play starts all characters off with the same amount regardless of class (150gp).

Starting wealth isn't in the class write-up. It's in a table at the start of the chapter, which lists dice amounts by class, and has an average column. Makes no mention of 'standard', so I assume it means average, but I still recommend the contest say 'average'.

My apologies for not being particular about what I said, when posting from my phone I tend to use the d20prd instead of opening every PDF I might have to reference, the amount is listed there on the class page as part of the write up.
Tomatoes vs tomatoes.

Response has been low so far, so I'd say don't hold off if you have something in mind. I expect we'll get a few more entries this week, but haven't had anyone else confirm they'll be submitting a character.
Thanks for the info. We'll see if I can squeak one out. With Microsoft spewing urgent, dire, patch-or-die updates this last week has been busy.

I have one I'm meaning to send over; I have my illegible notes on scratch paper, but I rather doubt scanning that in would qualify as 'submitting a character'. I wish I had a form-fillable PsiCharSheet; I think I'll plug my notes into PCGen instead and use its export function. That will also help to double-check my math- I often tend to give myself less than I'm actually entitled to...

Really wish I'd noticed this earlier. But I might have time tonight. Are we limited to one character? Stat block format or is there fillable character sheet PDF?
As a side note, it would be really fun to have contributor credits with three different publishers without ever having gotten paid for any of them.

I wish we had a form-fillable character sheet - anyone interested in doing that as a project for us, let me know and we can discuss compensation ;)
You are not limited to only one character - we've had entries with two different characters. For format - my recommendation would be to use the format from our Psionic Character Sheets (which are free), but as long as the full character is submitted, the format is flexible.
