Alderwag's Auction House has a fine assortment of weapons, armor, recipes, implements and other assorted goods. You can find Alderwag in the NW, a member of the Free Highlanders NAP!

Reasonable prices! Get them while you can! Even +2 and +3 recipes are on sale there. There are even spells for wizards and clerics for sale! Hurry! Hurry! Hurry!

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Excellent. I'm very glad to hear it.

Please allow me to add that several varieties of alchemical items are also available in Alderwag. At the moment, I'm sold out of Cure Potions, but I'll make every effort to keep them stocked.

Depends upon where I teleport to on next login. Something north would be nice.

Goblin Squad Member

I head that way and can add a heap of excellent battleaxes!

Goblin Squad Member

I have put up stuff for sale, some weapon and quite a lot of raw materials. If this Auction Hous actually gets going I'll consider to settle here. Is there any Company going for Towers?

Goblin Squad Member

Droped off a spell also, Divine Endurance.

Goblin Squad Member

I will run up there tonight to have a look and drop off recipes and items that I won't need.

Goblin Squad Member

I dropped a Midnidgt spell, lvl 3 cleric.
No armors available, nor +X weapons for mages.

Goblin Squad Member

Wow!! They bought out the dozen or so armors I put in there? CooL!

Goblin Squad Member

My plan was to add some stuff to Alderweg's AH, but I woke up south of Auroral instead. But there's no such thing as teleporting....

Goblin Squad Member

I'm going to put all the recipes I don't need on the Alderweg auction house tonight (UK time).

Goblin Squad Member

Last night I would be flying above Talongard or feet on ground in Kindleburn. Further north but not useful. I tried using minimap to fly out of Talongard an avoid red spots to middle of first hex north of Talongard. Logged out waited and back in Kindleburn. Gave it the night off.
Tomorrow would like further north AND in the west!
(does posting requests effect the game)?

It's worth a shot.

Wrong thread for this and we shouldn't have to do it anyway. I am pretty sure they are working on a real fix.

If you go "to the sky" or teleported "get resynced", do these things and you will get back (to right spot) most times.

1. Do not move around. That starts to build up a record of "where" you are.

2. Close client with"x" at top right.

3. Close patcher/launcher.

4 wait 2+ minutes. Restart.

5. If not fixed, do it one more time.

A little frustrating that we should have to this at all, but it is Alpha and (as noted above) I am sure that they are working on it.

Edit: Any Dev suggested proceedures trump this....

Somebody snapped up my Cure Potions +1, but the Bloodblocks +0 were still there last time I checked.

To any potential suppliers, don't go too crazy with the prices, and I'll happily buy Sanguine, Tonic and Antiseptic raw materials.

Belladonna berries, on the other hand, are plentiful in the NW. If anybody wants them, I'll be happy to part with a couple of hundred units.

It's not that there's no such thing. Ryan just explained why we teleport.

An overloaded server, administering the hex you belong in, freaks out and says "Here, you take Ulf!" to a less-busy server. Sometimes the less busy server happens to be responsible for hexes nearby, and sometimes it runs hexes on the other side of the map. From our perspective, we get teleported.

Last night, when I logged in I was in the hex south of Auroral - a place I have never been previously, so it was not a return to a last good spot. I tried numerous times to resolve it as you describe above, but my location persisted, except once when I logged back in to the skies of Thornkeep. When I came back in the next time, I decided I must actually be in the mountains of Auroral after all and started walking home.

The "log out, wait, log in" solution is well known at this point, but it is not universally effective. I'll be fine with losing any stuff I got while running quickly out of Golgotha (I didn't stop for much in the way of gathering or fighting anyway) if it means I wake up tonight in Tavernhold instead of whatever town I stopped in last night.

I failed to use my sarcasm font. I was also don't-call-it-teleported away from my planned activities last night.

I call it "enforced tour of Glorian!"

Goblin Squad Member

My location change was less stressful than the loss of several hours harvesting and slaying in a distant land on my only intentional trip out of the highlands.

Then again, who needs blue dye, anyway?

It is only effective if you get out before the new server you were handed off to has a chance to record your position. And I suspect it should be quit, wait, log in. Even better* would probably be "Use task-manager to force quit** (so that the client has no chance to say "I'm logging off here"), wait, log in.

* In relation to having a chance of recovering the original location and for values of better that are prepared for the possibility of damaging a preferences file or something worse than an alpha character.

** If you try this, don't say I didn't warn you that the cure just might be worse than the ill.

I totally call it teleporting. Especially when it happens on your first log in for the day. I lost time from my planned activities last night, too.

On a related note, Ryan confirmed today that there is a rollback bug, and that rollbacks are not just a result of the server overloading. Maybe tomorrow, he'll let us know that something else is responsible for some of our teleports, too.

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Two different causes for teleporting might explain why the 'Shut Down and Wait' method works sometimes, and does nothing other times. Until we know, it's the best 'medicine' we have for telepotitis.

Want to trade/buy: Beast Pelts in any amounts. Will pay/trade well.

My favorite Shopping Spot in the game. Probably going to drop of some mats for the Alderwag Auction house tonight!

Catch me later, BL, I'm pretty sure I have a couple of BPs

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

Apprentice's Cure Potions +1 and Apprentice's Bloodblock are back on the market. If anyone is bringing supplies from outside the region, I'm ready to buy Yellow, Green, Sanguine, Tonic and Antiseptic mats.

Goblin Squad Member

Ah tonics, I'll remember that, had heaps of it, but only +0, i'm afraid!

+0 is fine and dandy.

Goblin Squad Member

I did a dump (!) just now, everything between heaven and earth, but of special note is a half dozen or so of Battleaxe+1 and a heap of pinehafts+1 and +2.
Elixirs of all sorts and colours, gems and crystals.
Also a grab bag of used weapons and armours.

Goblin Squad Member

Looks like I shall be heading to Alderwag then.

Hmmmm. Shopping.....

Goblin Squad Member

If there is anyone still interested in trying things out I did an inventory dump in the AH today.

46 posts, everything at 1c

including:

Coarse Yarn +2
Battleaxe+1
Pine haft+2
Pine haft+1
Recipe: Weak Deadly Extract+2
Recipe: Weak Varnish+2
Weak Aromatic Extract+1
Weak Antiseptic extract+3
Hemp Twine
Pot Plate+1

And all sorts of weapons and some armours, refined ingredients.

326 silver bars, anyone? If I could you could have them for free...

Goblin Squad Member

I'll try to pass by tonight and relist any of my stuff that is back in inventory. It will be mostly raw components (including salvage) a fair chunk of T2.

Mr. Baequiannia, if your beast pelts did not sell last time, I would appreciate a chance to buy them at higher than your list price for an exclusuve sale.

I can't seem to find them anymore.

@ GW

It would be great if one of the team looked into this. It doesn't make sense to me that T1 mats should be impossible to find or localized 1/2 of a world away from some areas...

Goblin Squad Member

@Bringslite,

There is a recent Alpha forum post listing where you can find pelts, did you see it?

I tried some of those, if you mean Ryan's post. I am not certain that I grasped his deliniation correctly. I certainly only found smooth animal pelts and other things in the hexes that I think he meant.

It could be that they are just exuasted or that there is a problem. Is anyone else still able to reliably find beast pelts?

They are one of the very most basic starter mats, I believe.

Goblin Squad Member

Someone, somewhere, and on what grounds I don't know, clamed that it was dropping more often from wolves with a higer Nature skill.

Not that I have really seen that with mere Nature 7 ....

If so, You may have them at my cost, Mr. Ambassador.

I thought that I got them from middens in the home hex half way between OV and Alderwag, though it might have been wolves. My Nature skill isn't any higher than that, though, and I picked up several in one evening. Unless I'm confusing Beast/Monster pelts again.

Goblin Squad Member

Picked up some nice items from the Alderwag AH. Thanks people. Put up a bunch of sawyer refined materials (including Pine stuff +0 to +3), some raw materials (mainly plant, or apothecary), and a few basic recipes.

Scarab Sages Goblin Squad Member

I bought a few Alchemy recipes, and some Apothecary raw materials.

I'll post some more recipes and raw materials this evening.
