Slayer Help

Advice

Hey, i'm wanting to build a slayer. Preferebly TWF, but i have a few questions. 1. are strix worth it? 2. is the stygian slayer worth it? this is in a home game so there are home brew rules. 1. dex applies to attack and damage for ranged weapons and for finessed weapons. 2 we roll 4d6d1 stats. thanks for any help you can provide.

If you are interested in strix , with the archery rules go ranger.

FE human

Fly and shoot

i dont want to play archer because we have an archer ranger in the party and my DM doesnt like 2 of similar fighting styles. i thought TWF and flyby attack

TWF is a full-round action.
Flyby attack gives you a standard action.

Unless there's some special exception the two styles don't mesh very well.
But you can still use it if you like as long as the home campaign makes allowances for the impact on effectiveness.

With your GM not allowing another archer (which is already a powerful build even before the home game dex goodness) you're losing out on the best combination for combat effectiveness.

That said you could go with Finesse and (str 13) Power Attack. Yes you can Power attack with a finessed weapon. But this will set you back a few feats (Exotic Weapon Proficiency: Elven Curve Blade, Weapon Finesse, Power Attack, Flyby Attack.) You won't have room for TWF but it does work better with Fly-by. Be aware that the archer will be leaving you in the dust as far as DPR is concerned if you stick to Flyby attacks.

Other question: regarding strix?
Innate flying?
A bonus to a key stat (dex) and penalty to one most dump (cha)?
Darkvision?
+1 bonus against the most common foe you are likely to face throughout your career?
+2 to the most important skill in the game (Perception)?

Um yeah I'd have to say that yes the race is very much worth it.
