Can someone answer a question about eldritch heritage?

The feat says to pick a bloodline and u get the first level ability from that bloodline. But ur caster level is your hit die -2. Does that mean u can't take advantage of this feat until third level? My plan was to be a half elf so I could get low light vision, elven immunities, and skill focus as a bonus feat since its a prerequisite. So I could take it at first level if I wanted to but was unsure of what my caster level would be considered as it makes no mention to minimum caster level.

You have to be third level. The pre-req's specifically call out character level third.

Oh whoops must over looked that lol. thx dude. I guess it kinda works out as I really should be taking weapon finesse first level.

Huh. I didn't realize half-eves could pick up a skill focus as a bonus feat. That's pretty nifty. For some of the bloodlines that skill focus may be a welcome thing in a character build. A skill focus in perception for draconic is welcome for everyone.

A skill focus in any knowledge skill to get arcane is pretty awesome too.

A skill focus in swim to get aquatic... Meh.

What bloodline were you looking at?

Hmm

Half-elves and Humans can both get Skill Focus as a bonus feat. As a matter of fact, Humans can trade the bonus feat racial for Studied Focus, which gives them three Skill Focuses over the course of their careers.
