Magus Spellstrike Query

Rules Questions

It states under the Magus' Spellstrike ability: "If successful, this melee attack deals its normal damage as well as the effects of the
spell."

Does that opponent struck still get the save DC for a spell or not? It seems like that that but I am pretty sure they still do.

Just looking for a bit of confirmation

Yes it does still get a save against the effects of the spell. The only real difference is when using this, u are going against reg ac instead of touch ac and get a bonus of doing weapon damage on top of the spell itself. The effects and whatnot of the spell remain the same and can be resisted.

Cheers dude.

Remember that most spells that can be used for this do not give the target saving throws.

Very few touch spells give saves in addition tot he miss chance, and they are usually fairly high level, and extremely powerful in their effects.

Also note that Spellstrike does not negate having to make an SR roll if the target has SR.

Anothing thing that makes this so dangrus though is that the spell gets the wepons crit range instead of only on Nat 20. That is why so many Magues want a Keen Scrimata since you can crit on 16-20. At level 6 on a crit you can do 42+2xstr (6d6+str times 2) with shocking grasp as a 1st level spell with out meta.
