Here is my application: Falko d'Deneith, monk 1 / inquisitor 4.

Let me know if you have questions or comments. Equipment is still very tentative...

Whoa, that's . . . beautiful.

Thanks!

I took infusion, so I have flexibility to provide the group with healing, cure, and buff spells.

Okay. I'm waiting to see what others come up with before making a decision.

Note that an alchemist misses out on the biggest advantage of the articifer: crafting.

In all the games I play, crafting is always an issue. Crafting times are crazy if you follow the rules. I will have craft alchemy and bows. Craft alchemy will be pretty high.

Just so you know, Q'Barra is where the Dragonborn in Khorvaire comes from. They (WotC) basically kicked out the lizardmen and moved them to Droaam to make room for the Dragonborn.

So you have roots in Q'Barra and Argonessen, but your family can come from Cyre if that's what you wish.

Qs. What was Dakazzar's family life like? Was his father a war priest? Was his mother a priestess of one of the Sovereign Host? Does Dakazzar have any brothers or sisters? Did they serve in the Last War? Any surviving family in that case? Does he have a Black Sheep in the family?

Does he know the Old Man's name? (It could be the traveler to this DM). Was he captured by Breland? What are his reasons in Breland? Did he trace the old man's past here? What did he give up by participating in the Last War? (You know what they say, War is Hell).

Sorry I am going to have to withdraw, too many things popping up at once, don't want to overcommit.

I'm late to this party, but I've got a Lyrandar caster druid who doubles as a face. He's been in a couple of games that died and is just sitting there. His level 1 sheet is here. I can level him up to 5 pretty quick. This is all his fluff:

Backstory:
Kirin has a lot to live up to. His still-living great-grandparents are generally regarded as shining examples of what it means to be Khoravar, paragons of all that House Lyrandar holds dear. His grandparents are Dragonmarked heirs to the House and full members of the upper echelons of Lyrandar. His parents are a noted ship's captain and a respected guildmaster. Even his siblings are of note- his eldest brother is a Storm Sentry, his eldest sister is regarded as an up-and-comer and leader among her generation of the House, and he has cousins active in the House all over the world who have made the elders of the House sit up and take notice.

In short, Kirin is expected to succeed. And for the most part, he rises to the challenge. He practically grew up on his mother's ships, learning to reef a sail and read an azimuth as a boy. His parents taught him to be a hard worker and to honor the House hierarchy, and those values are some of his most closely held beliefs.

He made his first trip as crew aboard a House ship when he was only 12, as cabin boy for a slow, short-hop oceangoing merchant boat, and gradually worked his way up to helming airships by his early 20s. He has been to Stormreach on Xen'drik, spent time in the Foreigner's Quarter of the Riedran port cities, seen the coast of Argonessen, and walked on the eternal ice in the far north.

After he reached his 21st year, the House encouraged him to take time to explore the world on his own terms. Unlike most other Houses, Lyrandar wants its youngsters to go out and experience the world for a time before coming back and serving the House. Just as his elder siblings did, Kirin is now taking to the wanderer's road and a life of adventure until he feels ready to come back and serve the House directly again.

Personality:
Kirin has a wanderer's heart. He loves nothing more than moving for movement's sake, loves being out on the open sea or in the open sky just for the chance of seeing something he has never seen before. He takes after most of his family in this, and the House itself encourages its youngsters to indulge their desire for adventure early in life.

Like most of his House he takes great pride in being Khoravar, the true people of Khorvaire, and sees Lyrandar as the primary sanctuary and proper location for all half-elves. He's a great diplomat for his House and sees it as his responsibility to be a good public representative Lyrandar. As far as he is concerned, in public he is always representing his family and his House and everything he does reflects on them.

Within the House is known for being helpful and industrious and friendly. He is open and friendly to a point with non-Lyrandars. He knows that anyone outside the House might only want him for his access to money and influence, so takes with a grain of salt what anyone says or does. As a loyal Lyrandar he is willing to drop almost anything to help members of his House in need.

Appearance:
Taller than human average, with a trim, athletic build. He has the characteristic fair skin and dark hair of the Lyrandar half-elves, with hazel eyes that shift from gold to green to brown depending on how the light hits them. His dark hair is long, hanging almost to his waist, and he usually catches it back with scrimshawed ivory clips.

He has several tattoos on his back, chest, and shoulders and each has a story attached to it. They chronicle everything from his first time helming a ship to his first visit to Stormreach, his first shipboard battle to the name of the first woman he was ever with. The most prominent of his marks is, of course, his Dragonmark, which pulses and burns in purple and blue over his heart- as it grows (if it grows), it will almost certainly extend up the front of his throat.

He dresses simply, in well made but not ostentatious clothing, though as a House scion he is no stranger to fine clothes. Like many noblemen he prefers his own House colors, and wears a lot of grey, black and blue.

Alright. Apparently my Oriental Game is the only place where I'm playtesting the dragonborn conversion. :)

Oh, someone likes Rifts. Not that's a bad thing, just that few people run around with a handle like Karl Prosek.

Love the setting, hate the crunch. After a certain point I was just buying the books to read about new regions and toys and ignoring the ridiculousness that was the classes.

Who wouldn't love a game where the core book can start with a party that has one PC as a full-conversion cyborg with a railgun too heavy for an un-augmented human to lift and another PC as basically just a homeless guy? ;)

Yes. It was a great game. For about 2 months.

Played rifts once as a cyborg just like mentioned. So fun haha

So far:

  • Kirin of House Lyrandar -- a cousin to talk to, Ebran.
  • X'ennia Nailo -- an Alchemist of House Thuranni.
  • Falco d'Deneith -- A warrior of the Last War treated as a traitor.

    ---

Still waiting on two more. But I can't wait too long. :)

  • The Druid and inquisitor seem to meet the group's needs nicely. I think I'll remove my interest. Thank you for the opportunity!

Wow, this is awesome. Eberron rocks! I'll probably not apply (I'm in so many games!), but I'll probably follow this, if allowed. Thanks!

    You are allowed. :)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Then Kirin and Falco, you're in.

I would have liked to be in a game with you:(

But if you are following it that is good too:)

    Thanks! That's flattering!

I don't know how often I'll be following, or how regularly. I'm trying (and failing) to keep up with about half-a-dozen right now in addition to the one I'm running and (ffffffffff......ooooooooouuuuuurrrr-ish?) I'm playing in right now.

I just love me some Eberron, and this sounded cool.

It might be awesome to play with you sometime too, Ben Xov! :D

Cool. I'll get a profile up asap.

I would like to play an archer bard. What are the build requirments other than 5th level? Point buy or roll?

Um... you may wish to check up-thread, here, specifically.

They already got their two new players, before you ever posted.

I believe EltonJ was answering your question, not suggesting that there was an opening. :/

    Sczarni

Very well then, I shall move along.

Yes, the thread is closed. :)
