How's the article spread looking guys, we have 3 days left and I still have one submission available to me to try and help out on numbers?

Short story is edited and finalized, Weal or Woe is at about 90%, fluff article is at about 50%.

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Tim's slammed, so I'll try to provide an update, and hope that my count matches with his.
.
.
.
Our current submission count is sitting at 39. The breakdown is as follows:

Bestiary - 8
Class - 4
Crunch - 4
Fiction - 6
Fluff - 6
Magic Items - 6
Side Trek - 3
WoW - 1
Advice - 1

So, we're maintaining a decent balance, but there's plenty of room for more submissions!

Cheers!
Paris

No poems and operas this time?

"There once was a lady from Punt..."

Hey, don't look at me like that!
It was a genuine African kingdom!

I came up with a pretty neat concept for a WoW article today—I'll find the time to write it up over the weekend and send it over.

Just submitted my Weal or Woe.

I have my third submission in rough, so I have a day or two to polish it and submit, so there will be at least one more beastie in the selection pot ;)

My gazetteer is in final form, a traveling and changing pyramid structure of wonder, and of Ahriman (and the Pharaoh of Forgotten Plagues).

Bestiary entry for a CR 2 sand ooze is going through some revisioning but should be done soon.

Still trying to think of a game.

Major edit for my fiction piece complete, I'm going to have my beta reader give it a quick look-over today before I submit.

250 more words for Weal or Woe (it was pointed out that I don't need to have the descriptions of the character's abilities, just the names).

I don't think my fluff article is going to make it but I COULD pull out a last-minute save before the deadline tomorrow.

*grumble-grumble* too much deadlines pilling at wrong time *grumble-grumble*

Maybe I manage to finish one or two things in time...

Is the deadline 11:59 AM or 11:59 PM?

First ever submission in.

It's usually PM. One minute before September 2nd arrives in the Pacific Time Zone.

Correct. PM.

I wish I had the time to contribute to this sadly. Unfortunately, the move, school, unemployment, and now a sick girlfriend leaves me with little time to do this.

Next time!

Definitely can empathize with the hectic real life events. Hope your girlfriend is feeling better soon (and you don't catch it). Just remember, don't wait--start brainstorming now for the next issue's theme: Ustalav.

Crikey, time lines getting tight now :)

My 3rd is with my review circle, so I will be posting in around 8 hours or so, so I will be getting my 3rd in by the skin of my teeth.

Anyone else feeling the deadline burn or am I the last to still be at the grindstone for submission?

You mean you aren't already halfway through your first Ustalav article for the next one? :)

POSSIBLE on the fluff article. Not sure if I'll have time to finish it tomorrow, since I am PLANNING on going to the State Fair. But I'll try.

Fluffy crunch or magic items article submitted, depending how you consider it. Giant monster off my back this one took a LOT to get together.

Oh yeah! By my count we must be in the 40's at least and heading to 50+ submissions now - good job everyone!

Beastie Away! So that's another submission for the count, completing my 3.

Working on a monster that came to me tonight during bout of insomnia.

Now I want N'wah to make a picture of it while one of it's passive abilities is in action...

Monster finished and sent. I might still manage do finish and send some more later.

Current submission count is 68. A far cry from the 100+ submissions we got for #11, but a good number to work with. And I'm happy to say that you folks are maintaining a pretty good balance of articles on your own.

*grumble-grumble*

Missed wordcount in the header... Suits me for keeping a template for sending monsters to wayfinder instead of writing header manually evertime :/

Corrected version sent.

That was awkward...

*sends that damned cat once again*

Knowing my luck it will end in Abu Dhabi instead of Wayfinder inbox...

Liberty's Edge Contributor

Heh. No worries, Drejk. You caught the error before I did. ...And we got the corrected file. ;)

Just submitted my CR2 Sandling Ooze and Golarion Gazetteer: The Traveling Wonders!

Second monster sent. That's it for me for this issue. I need to pack my things.

Silver Crusade RPG Superstar 2013 Top 8

OK, I'm a bit late to the party but I worked furiously over the last week (including during spare moments at Dragon*Con) and finished my secret society (à la Occult Mysteries) submission. Sent! We'll see if it passes muster. Fingers crossed!

Now to go read Rule of Fear...

Scarab Sages

Sent you an archetype!

I'm still in time, aren't I? Even taking into account British Summer Time?

Good luck to everyone who submitted, as we head into the last hours.

For the first time ever, I came in under the cutoff.

Had to go back and add something.

Every other time, I've been way over, and trying to shave off redundant words.

I am honestly envious. I think I actually got worse about going over. D:

We'll see if my 2nd submission made the deadline, and if it did, whether it makes the cut.

Depending on how emails get time-stamped, I either made it by seconds, or missed it by seconds.

At least I had my 1st one in a ways back. I wasn't sure I'd try a 2nd entry, but I found myself free this evening, and decided to see if I could get something together in one evening.

If I didn't quite make it, it sure was a fun exercise. I'll have no hard feelings if it turns out those last few seconds cost me an entry. I should have simply attached and sent, instead of typing even a single character in the email.

Good luck to everyone, and thanks for all your efforts in putting together such a sweet 'zine.

Same. I try to do Weal & Woes, every now and then, and even my *shortest* attempt uses up all 1500 words on a single character!

Isn't that the truth.

You know you've got a good thing, when they start 'talking' to you*, in their own voices, and their schemes get more and more involved.

Last issue, I wanted Federico and some Chelaxian soldiers to be stalking Woodsy and his escaped slaves through the Molthune forest, to 'rescue' his embarrassing 'red-headed skeleton-in-the-closet' brother from the Bellflowers (and ensure that he didn't live to spill the beans on his embezzlement of war bonds), and they'd all end up in a Mexican standoff with the Molthune army.

But it soon became clear that wasn't going to fit in 1500 words, even if their stats were kept separate, once you put in tactics, incriminating evidence, and enough hooks so the PCs could be in either group.

So I scrapped it, rolled the songs into the stats, and left it at that.
And 'The Fairy Fella's Murder Stroke' will have to rattle round in my head.

And we may never find out, who got skinned, to provide that luxuriant red leather for Woodsy's silver-stringed guitar...

*Yes, yes, the men in white coats are waiting to see me now. Must dash.

Oh yeah. The story of a character never really ends, there's just the point where you stop writing.

Finding that point is hard for me.

Also the point where I stop re-writing and improving stuff and accept that it's 'good enough.' :)

Ah missed this one :(
Well maybe next time...
