Please wait starting Shades of Ice #3. Because of today's errata Sothy's build is broken and I need to change 2 feats for him.

Is Skagni a "divine spellcaster with a good-aligned deity" by any chance, for the Silver Crusade faction goal?

DM Kludde |

That is right. I plan to keep offering new scenarios as they come out, so go ahead and put your name down. I'll wait until this season is finished before starting.
I'm not committing to running the whole season from the get go (but I'll probably end up running the whole thing anyway), which is mainly because I'm switching jobs, and I want to see how the time schedule pans out.

1) Sothy is Grand Lodge, not ScSg
2) The empty gold box selected, number below say 500gp, aren't we getting Out-of-Tier if we play it with 3rd lvl?
DM Kludde |

You should get out-ot-tier gold, I've corrected it. The empty box is just a way to indicate that, for lack of a box. I've corrected the faction as well.

Sothy is ready, without plume hat and Parry tricks anymore, but with Power Attack and Improved Sunder :)

DM Kludde |

Can you all confirm the following levels are correct:
Zlata 3
Mogall 3
Henri 2
Chukka 2
Sothy 3
Scarlet 3
Because if they are, that puts APL at 2.67 -> 3, which means we'll be using high tier encounters for Shades of Ice 3. Making it potentially more deadly...

Shifty |

We can play down though, which might be a good idea as we don't actually have any 4-5's...
So without having a grasp of how hard part 3 is, it might be sensible not to push our luck as we are only 2.67 which is rounded up to 3. If we were all 3 I'd say go for it, but as we are, things might get needlessly ugly :)
in between subtiers, a party of six or seven characters must
play the higher subtier. Parties with four or five characters
must play the lower subtier. In the fringe case where there
are no players that are high enough to have reached the
subtier level (such as a party of six 3rd level characters),
the group may decide to play down to the lower subtier.

DM Kludde |

We'll play shades of Ice at the low tier, then.

I've set up a table for 6-98, so we can start on Aug 3rd (or do you guys want to start later?)

DM Kludde |

I get on a Cruise ship for a sail around the South Pacific
Poor you! :-P
The whole game is timing-triggered (you know, overseer says such-and-such, and then a new encounter starts), so there's really not much I can do to speed it up. From a quick glance, you'd basically miss the whole last encounter, which is about a third of the game :-(
Not sure what the optimal solution is here - you can play, of course, but missing such a large chunk will diminish the experience, I'm afraid. Really depends on what other options you have for playing this special.

Shifty |

Hmm depart 12 Dec actually... so I'd miss a bit of the last encounter, and MAY find some internet available on one of the Islands. The Cruise ship internet is double horrible - Horribly overpriced and horribly slow.
At this point the special is only being run in one place near me, and by near I mean 300kms (200 miles) away in a smaller, colder, not as nice city.

DM Kludde |

Nik, and Tiaburn, did you see that the gameplay thread for Serpent Rise is up? We won't start until tomorrow, but there is a pregen to be chosen. Wouldn't want you to miss out on a good choice.

DM Kludde |

For PbP gameday IV, I'll be running a table of the special Siege of Serpents. I'd like to give you guys first choice in getting a seat.
I don't think everybody will be joining it, since some of you will be playing it at a con (@Lithrac: I'm doing the 3-4 table, so I'm not sure if you'll actually be in that one or Rob's).
I've added a (blue) signup list on the spreadsheet. I'll be accepting your signups, and then fill it up with any other interested players.
There's a catch: I'd like you all to be in the same tier. I don't quite care which one, as long as you agree on the same tier (I'd imagine 3-4 or 5-6 is most likely)

DM Kludde |

I'll be at a con Wed-Sun, so expect slow-to-no posts from me.

DM Kludde |

Yeah, don't worry about having to cancel. I you manage to find a sneakerweb game, I'm pretty sure I can find other player. I just want to give you guys priority seating :-)

DM Kludde |

I've put up gameplay threads for the three new Season 7 games. Seeing as how we're a bit behind the release schedule (704 and 705 are already released next week!), I'd suggest that we pick up the old 'three-table' system. We can start 703 as soon as 623 finishes (which should be somewhat soon, we almost at the last encounter), and 701 and 702 constant when 622 closes.
I'm sorry if the pace of the last four games (6-20 to 6-23) was bit slower, with holiday and conventions being in the way. Let's get back to our 'finish well within five weeks' habit of playing games, shall we?
Those who haven't listed their character in the spreadsheet yet, please do so. It really helps me remember what subtler we're in :-)

DM Kludde |

On top of that, the Quest for Perfection is still scheduled when we finish Shades of Ice. 's going to be busy...

DM Kludde |

Shades of Ice is almost done, we're close to the final showdown.
I wouldn't mind starting at least one of the season 7's by next week, seeing as how we're already almost a month behind. Most likely, that'll be 703, but if we can get a table for 701 that we can start with (e.g. if Glenn switches out Bones for a different character), we can start earlier with that one as well.
@Pedwiddle: do you intend to join the Special? If not, I'll start offering the last spot publicly.
