Then the relative position of the place is still there, yes?

Don't get me wrong, such a place would be ludicrously difficult to find, but, technically, the "area" still there.

Or am I missing specific wording to the contrary?

Step 1: Hunt the Tarrasque.
Step 2: Soul Bind the Tarrasque to the phylactery's gem.
Step 3: Evade Crusaders within their realm (very important).
Step 4: When Crusaders finally catch you, and they will, because the DM is going to allow it, say to them, "Looks like you have a decision to make: Slay the lich permanently, which will be challenging as we (the group) are not going to go down easy and we're not going to down alone, or be responsible for unleashing the Tarrasque in your own kingdom with your resources depleted from battle with us and probably down a member or two. What'll it be?"
