Congrats on the best placement on the map. K is a high value location and will be a bear to defend but if you can hold it then you will be a true powerhouse when the other RA members get pushed out of the south.

On the contrary, I'm quite happy with this development. It leaves someone else to do all the building while I do what I do best. Burn the holding of my opponents to the ground and piss on the ashes.

I'm working on our new settlement thread now, but we always wanted K for many of the reasons you wanted to be in the North West. We want to provide a good play environment for new players coming out of the good-aligned starting city. We want to provide this both from a Meta and an in-character perspective. It just felt too important not to do. Have to keep the new players happy to help ensure the success of the game!

I think settlement building is fun (and hopefully the mechanics for it will be fun and engaging), and I like helping newbies find their foothold as well. Win Win.
That said I like pvp too and my main will almost certainly be designed for pvp - but I think pvp will happen naturally whether I seek it out or not.
