The only thing I would ask is to not perceive the settlement we are trying to form as gay because our specific company happens to be focused on Diversity.
no worries, I'll find other ways to tease paladins.
And I'll definitely come by your settlement, you sound like ideal trading partners (lawful and with a clear market niche). It also sounds like it could become the place to go for paladin/armor training. Best of luck with your goals.

Full Metal Syndicate, is the LGBT focused guild for the upcoming MMO, Pathfinder Online from Gayme0n. We strongly urge all lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and allies to join. Full Metal Syndicate is very excited to be the premier LGBT community that will be part of the Land Rush. This is the time to be part of the beginning of a new experience and represent your fellow gaymers in the River Kingdoms.
It’s Good to be Crafty
Like many of the other guilds finding their footing in Golarion, the Full Metal Syndicate will have a strong thematic element to cohesively fit within the River Kingdoms, because we are more than a group of lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender, and allies in Pathfinder Online. We are going to be merchants focusing on metal and stone crafting. Therefore we will be a Lawful Neutral settlement, interested more in the law of economics than in the rule of justice and equality. However we are not aloof from politics, and are excited about the future of the River Kingdoms in Pathfinder Online.Become a Metalhead
Obviously, as a LGBT community, we encourage diversity. This is especially important in playstyle. We need PvE, PvP, diplomats, crafters, soldiers, gatherers, etc. We want our settlement to be diverse, healthy, and inclusive, which is why we are striving for economic prosperity first, to ensure a strong home for our community and those of a similar affinity. So we have a home for almost every playstyle.Join here: Full Metal Syndicate

Is it ok now to say "paladins are so gay" ?
(disclaimer: as a non-US person I am not updated on (or sensitive to) various correctness issues. If you find it offensive, I'll stick to generic paladin (or heavy metal) jokes).
The way to make sure you're respecting people and their identity and right to exist is to not say things about serious matters of discrimination or personal safety that are "meant as a joke", even if you intend no malice behind it. Making jokes out of those subjects normalizes and reinforces the idea to others it's not actually meaningful or worth consideration... because you just made a joke out of it. Some of those others might become the ones making problems for your friends.
Now if you want to tell him something like, "Don't you have something to go polish, Bossy McBosserson?" I'm 100% behind you.
