There was a tradition in the Old Jewish Temple (thousands of years ago)of basically shouting sins at a goat and then driving it out to drive away the sins it is where the phrase scapegoat comes from. It's a weird bit of trivia but it is also something that inspired a character concept of mine that I haven't had the opportunity to play until now.
The basic history of the the character is that he was chosen as a sacrifice and so he accepted the sins of his village and then he was beaten, he would have been beaten to death but some adventurers intervened leaving him horribly scarred and with a weird mentality. Basally he wants to take all the sins onto himself because he believes he is already damned by his nature. So when ever anyone in what ever party he is in suggested doing something horrific he will volunteer to do it to save them the damnation slash guilt.
It is a very weird character to want to play, and worry slightly about my sanity for wanting to play it but I now finally have the opportunity to give the concept a go do so I am debating whether I should or not what do people think?

I could also see something like an Oracle or Scarred Witch Doctor (Orc witch archetype) working. The Scarred Witch Doctor ritually scars themself and wears a "repulsive fetish mask" to draw their power, so accepting a role as a masochistic outcast could fit. I know that using the words fetish and maschostic in the same sentence is a bit S&M but that's not what I was going for, think voodoo instead.
