Sovereign Court

I admit, I laughed when I read the thread title. One of the best I've seen in a while. ;)

haha, I hear you. Although it's been a while since I had to abandon my Aikido training. Maybe one of these days soon I can get back into it.

I think this thread is official derailed.

Yeah, it wasn't derailed from the very start when it was titled, "I Shatner him."

And I'd love to do an informal survey of how many Aikidoka are on the boards -- seems like quite a few.
(Loved Aikido, but stunk at it. Hated Tae Kwon Do, but was great at it. Apparently I'm just better at hitting things, or getting hit. Or both.)

Shadow Lodge

Tiger style is definitely the way to go here. If you're using mythic then there's also the champion ability uncanny grapple, which lets you use someone else as a two handed weapon.

3.5 had a feat that did this, Hammerfist (or was it hammerblow?).

Liberty's Edge

I was wondering if it was permitted to use unarmed strike as a 2-handed weapon. To be precise getting the 1.5STR bonus for not being able to use either hand for anything else just then.

Yes, but:

1) You must be party leader;
2) You must precede the strike with an acrobatics maneuver for now good reason;
3) You must have an outsized personality; and,
4) Your opponent must also have an outsized personality.

IF YOU'RE IN A PARTY WITH THAT GUY, NEVER, EVER WEAR RED!

Unless you're the Scottish engineer.

Taekwondo, Krav, and Jiu Jitsu. No Aikido, though.

American kendo here. I also find that I need to forget my training whenever I read martial arts/ monk rules for a game.

More importantly you must forget all logic when reading rules a out fantasy games

Had an engineer friend play once that wanted to make a nuclear reactor and managed to pull numbers for how much certainsl spells/abilities certain eneimes had could produce in raw power...it was a dark day in fantasy
