A mystery set in a small village, a large problem, and a small band of adventurers are the only thing standing in the way of this town and an evil that has yet to rear it's head.
Zombie Initiative1d20 ⇒ 2
to clarify again lol this will be little hinky cause im going to go off on a limb and change this a bit haha
* since devin initiated the surprise round he takes his action as if he had a readied action or whatever but will retain initiative he rolled for later rounds of combat. (does this make any sense what so ever?)
Devin walks up and hits Zombie a (actually you missed but still)
START of surprise round
order of initiative (so far)
Hermia 16
Devin* 8
Zombies 2 (anyone who loses int to these slow zombies will be laughed at)
Sorry for the late addition...work went late last night. I have to remember to keep looking on the ooc thread...again sorry this is my first PbP game and am still learning the ropes..lol
Kynneth heavenly fire is only against one foe since it is a ranged touch attack and is a ray so which one are you shooting? Im going to assume you shot one of them that is closer to you cause the one near devin would get the in melee bonus to armor I believe? can anyone tell me different? so anyways
1 is zombie a 2 is zombie b
1d2 ⇒ 2
I believe I read it is a 30' burst. Here is the info from the PFSRD
Starting at 1st level, you can unleash a ray of heavenly fire as a standard action, targeting any foe within 30 feet as a ranged touch attack. Against evil creatures, this ray deals 1d4 points of damage + 1 for every two sorcerer levels you possess.
Ok...having read this, I feel stupid!! I thought it meant everything in a 30' area was effected. Sorry about that!
hum de dum hey guys feel free to post what you would do on your turn and if another players turn takes your action away say devin you slice zombie a but when aria posts it turns out she obliterates it we will just have you attack a diff zombie k?
Ok sense you aimed at closest zombie that would be zombie A sense it is in front and charged by Gaeron thus you take -4 penalty for shooting into melee so you miss Kyn sorry
No problem...I was not sure 'A' was closest..it was a poor hit roll anyway!!
I must say...you are really keeping a creepy 'Olde World' feel to this...feel like I am in a forest somewhere in the Empire...maybe outside Altdorf.....
hehehehe sweet i admit alot of my inspiration is from warhammer olde world, I figure that the warhammer actual rp is kinda restrictive and complicated so why not convert slightly to pf let me know how im doin guys is first time gming online alsoi only like 4th time gming period at any time i make mistake let me know
i think it's more cuz Devin just got double crit'd. In our RL game the DM runs it that if u roll 2 nat 20's then confirm a crit the target is immediatly dead. Thus a summoned celestial hawk kills a huge centipede in one hit at full health. stupid yes. possible...i have no fricking idea but im thankful it isn't the case here. an immiedatly dead PC would be no fun
i have to abstain from commenting on the DM's ability, for a very good reason. he's my brother XD case and point. just messin doing a good job GM, reminds me of the actual times u did run a WFRP campaign. he made that one scary too, ironically also w undead. and the orc campaign. im glad he didn't run my beastman and chaos cultist campaign, otherwise my "tough-as-nails middenheim mercenary" would've run home crying for his momma lol
Actually it does provoke. Now seeing as zombie went crunch on yuo ill tell you your options you can fake death, atack from prone, or delay your action until zombie moves to atack gaeron. Zombies are mindless but will not know if he killed you or not so he will walk away to help kill others before coming back to eat you. thats just a thought do what you think your character would do.
Yeah, I was sorta uncertain which way he was heading down the road, towards the graveyard or back to the town. I know Hermia made a pretty valid argument about going back to the town.
I think the confusion is around where on the road we are in relation to where the zombies started from. I understood that we were down the road and further up the road was a bend. Around that bend was where i first saw the zombies.
I had hid in the bushes just on our side of the bend. The zombies came around the bend and down the road to meet the party. That's when I came out of the bushes and stared the attack.
So i'm trying to go back up the road, and around the bend, to where the zombies started at.
Yeah. And tomorrow we are going to round up the farmers, and find out where these damn zombies came from and exterminate them in the daylight, so far as Hermia is concerned.
Uhh, yeah. Hermia has 3 channels, and no spells. Gaeron is pretty messed up, as far as she knows. Better to back up and get back to town while it's still light. In my opinion.
sorry lolz, anniversary w my girlfriend today was rly rly busy :) figured i was posting quite a bit so i was gonna let others post, Gaeron is in favor of going back to town but he's the macho type and he has to hear the others suggest first :P
Ill just go ahead and say this weekend is probably good time to take some time off guys If you all get on and post that you have time and want to continue I will but less I hear from yall ill put game on hold till least monday night
Sorry for taking so long to post. It was partially due to a very busy Labor Day weekend.
GM only please:
It was also due to some discouragement from the "and now fastforward to edge of town GO" post. I understand that it's a stylistic difference but I feel like I'm walking around half blind. It would really help to have some more GM setting descriptions. The ones that you have done are great but they seem few and far between. I would feel much more engaged with a good description of the town and situation we found there upon returning instead of "GO". Rather than telling us to fast forward, you could have done something like "As the group returns to the village they see ....." That way we have something to play off of rather than trying to guess at what's going on.
I know a lot of this is a reaction to my last PbP that ended with a DM who had posted a total of 2 paragraphs worth of text, not all together, in 2 weeks of a game. You certainly haven't done that but it did influence my negative reaction.
I'm really looking forward to getting engaged in this game. Please don't take this as any sign that I'm dropping out. I'm still very interested in the story and other characters.
Thanks
I wish the board offered direct messages, if so I would have sent this more privately.
