I am sorry you felt discouraged by thatmistake the reason I did do that was that I felt people were not really interacting much after the fight with zombies and once you guys searched the corpses I was led to believe you headed back to town. Thus since there was nointeraction almost a day between everyone I would just fastforawrd to edge of town letting you guys know there was no enounter as you reach safety. Was hoping people would then interact a little bit with each other as if you had just spotted town. When I got minimul response I just sorta paused the game and waited for more reactions.
Again I am a new gm especially to pbp so I will make mistakes so i do beg paitence from you all actually I just learned the critical from zombie c should never have happened to gaeron since once they reach 0 helath zombies just die so another noob gm mistake.
Anyways I do hope you will have paitence with me as i am working through alot but i definately like this campaign and this group feels right and Id like to see how you all progress through the coming game.
Thank you for your open and honest statements
If you want feel free to email me on my gm email for questions or comments

Me, too. Real quick to defense when I pointed it out, huh?
If I'm not saying much, it's because when I built Hermia, I intended her to be a focus of a community as a leader, and not the party. She's a full support character. Her high charisma equals more channeling, which is pretty much what she'll be most effective at since Cloistered Clerics get fewer spell slots AND domain powers.
She's letting Devin and Brother Abraxus take charge and is just observing, for now.

Hermia Robin |

Aye, I had plans for Hermia once upon a time, too. They sorta became muddled when she became introduced to the anti-group and had to fight every darn day for 3 weeks to get them to act like one. It was like being a freaking baby sitter for a bunch of man children and a prima-donna sue who refused to help the group at all. Not to mention a CE GMPC who dictated the plot and robbed players of choice...
I am going to let the plot dictate this one. I was thinking theurge in the other game since our sorc was useless and couldn't lead a goat to something edible, but pure clerics are nice, pure clerics are better than nice.

Kynneth |

That is what I want to do...but darn it I dont have that skill...and I know it was a bomb shell Kyn telling them about the chapel, but lets see what all the different reactions are!! And if anyone make a move there...or for the book!! Sorry did not mean to stir the pot...silly Kyn and his straight forwardness.....

Hermia Robin |

There is this phenomenon I call "cleric dice" that seems to pervade whenever I play them. Healing is a pretty valuable resource. The ability to sense people's intent, and to calm them with diplomacy... *sigh* very good abilities.
But when you can't roll above a freaking 5 to save your life...
It becomes quite frustrating.

Hey now Hermia that's being a bit unfair to Clerics :P :) i have a friend who ONLY plays clerics. while we're all struggling to hit the giant, he's 'rollin in dollin' of damage as he would say. he only embodies the first and truest Cleric anti-bylaw. Cleric...Initiative. He could not get higher on initiative checks than last on the line to save his life XD ok so all of u guys roll initiative.
My friend "Nope."
"Why?"
"Im going last DM. Let's not invite the dice gods to mock me any more than they have to."
lolz one of the funniest guys to play w despite his often broken characters.

Hermia Robin |

Awwwwh, how cute. Maybe she meant it. :P
Actually, I haven't even thought of the possibility of romance for this character. In her previous incantation, she prefered the meatier homebros but enjoyed speaking more to intelligent types - of which there were none in the party.
Hmmm...

Hermia Robin |

Aye, but, she would have tried to get around that creepy guy using guile anyway. Something about that smile and him being late to the meeting was very unwholesome. Defender of the community or no, how are you not going to recognize a priestess? She's a tiny, pretty girl carrying a big stick and a holy symbol. I think it might be assumed that she's not going to go berserk and start clubbing citizens...

Hermia Robin |

One of the guys from your KM group is in our RotRL game. He's trying to pull his bullshit loot distribution crap with us, I told him straight up that I, for one, will absolutely not f#&*ing stand for it.
APs are meant to be cooperative. If you can't f+$+ing wait for good loot and share it equitably, without counting to the f~##ing copper based on bullshit math, then you shouldn't be in a f%&~ing game to begin with, IMHO.

Hermia Robin |

Yeah, but he mentioned that he was in a group where two got dismissed by the GM for loot issues. Funny how it was you two guys. He may not have been the instigator, but I'm not taking this shit sitting down.
I run the sorc. I obviously don't need much, just some charisma items, and hey, yeah, gold might be nice when we find it. I'm not going to be crafting much, I do not think...
*shakes head*
just makes me angry, that someone has even suggested that we split to the copper with that kinda attitude, you know?

Gaeron Abraxus |

I understand perfectly Hermia, my brother and i were playing a wizard and summoner, likewise no need for items and yet we were the only ones to complain about the 'fool-proof' loot system. its infuriating because the kind of math theyre doing was never invented in a medieval world, even fantasy.
I suppose just trust your teammates to say "no we're not doing it that way because no one ever has equal gold in a party. ever."
EDIT: like for Vulf if he finds a rly good double-sword, he shouldnt have to pay gold for it if its already in the AP

Gaeron Abraxus |

Bascially, Devin, u kill an encounter w bandits. u then sell everything on the bandits, despite the fact someone in the party might need something from them. the person who needs an item then has to pay out of pocket for the full price of the item. inconsequential for small things, but say u find a +2 sword in this situation. u really want the sword because it helps U help the party. instead of u getting the sword, they sell it for half and u have to pay full price for it

GM Raventhorn |

Yeah ill get back to you guys on this game i am totally pissed right now that yet another game might have to be lost due to dreaded loot system arguments so let me say this for everyone
For Xp i am keeping track of it for you and i believe rewarding you for interacting in your own ways outside of fights so all even.
For loot system you find a shiny bow Devin gets it everyone else splits rest of loot and gold. Period. This is a fantasy world and Im not letting this devolve into a WOW system where everyone gets equal amount of gold
I am no going to go console myself with the original Karate Kid

Devin Cross |

Wow, people actually want to do that? That seems like such a crappy way to divide things. I don't think you have to worry about anyone trying to suggest that here.
For me loot has always been 1st about furthering the story, 2nd about helping the party, and 3rd about filling out the setting. I used to have a great "random stuff" chart with things to mix into loot that made it much more realistic, and i think interesting.
So instead of "you find a Masterwork Dagger, and 7 gp". It would be:
"When you search the bandit you find he caries a bag of assorted coins (4 golden crowns, 27 silver talons, 30 copper pens). In his pouch you find a small roll of twine, 2 half burned candles, a cork from a bottle of red wine, 3 fish hooks, and a half piece of parchment with a list of ships on it. At his belt is a dagger with finely inlaid silver and ivory handle."
Sometimes the items from the random list even started stories I never planned. I could imagine a party trying to track down the significance of the list of ships. Who would I be to disappoint them.
I'm also the GM who used to make the party RP selling off the loot they didn't want to keep rather than just assuming it sold for 'half'.

Kynneth |

I agree that when you come across an item for a player, give it to them...what the heck good is a sword to Kyn, when one of you could use it...and he is not going to cry because he did not get the gp value for it....that ways lies madness!!! Only played that way once, and the whole group agreed that it was stupid. Kyn would rather have a nice book than and stinky old sword...
Oh yeah..Wax on ...Wax off!!! lol

GM Raventhorn |

IM sorry guys about not posting all day just had to take a break away from it due to other games argument bringing up well malcontent. oh well crisis over and will put up a post. Kyn if you dont mind me not going back and reposting the description of the chapel you can go back and look at it from earlier.
right now you guys just need to state the plan you intend to use for on the morrow cause after the council decides the village will break down and go to sleep leaving you all individuals to decide what your doing until you go to inn for own r&r
Also when you guys hit second level you all will receive custom boon or what have you from myself. Id like samples that you guys believe would help you/give you slight advantage for this otherwise slow advancement.
This could be something that you really need or maybe a special ability that you could use once a day or so just give me some broad ideas also I already have some in mind for certain characters so just heads up

Devin Cross |

Gaeron, Here is the list of supplies that I'm going to ask them for. Is there anything you think I'm missing that we may need?

2 bags of chalk
4 water skins - full
2 10 lb bags of flower
Apothecary
6 to 10 glass bottles
Alchemist's Fire (if any)

GM Raventhorn |

Now are you looking to buy these or hoping the town could give them to you? Some could be bought some could be given but you would definitely have to buy the horse horses are huge commodities in rural areas
And ill tell you as sidenote since you have not interacted at all with apothecary his prices are full price and probably will stay there for his supplies
Mayor can give you map for free but will be rough most folks are illiterate and no area because they live there
and cant really say if your missing anything devin one I dont know what you have in mind two cant really give anything away lol
