I believe Almare may have dropped, I was informed by someone in another game there have been no posts for a long time by that person.
Brother Markus |
I'd prefer a fourth if only so it's more likely to have someone to play off of to make posting more common. But, if it's 3 or nothing, I'm sure we'll be fine. (As long as we can push that posting per day up. Myself included.)

Much cheers to all.
Yeah yeah, get me an ale and a face to punch...
I actually thought this was being ressurected

I was checking out everyone's character sheets. I hope that's ok. I'm not sure the etiquette on such things as this is my first pbp game. I was curious as to who shared languages with me and then I got carried away checking out everyone's stuff lol. Anyway, Captain Andoran, I noticed you have hero points. I love hero points, I didn't realize we were using them though. Are we all suppose to have them or do you have some sort of special access to them? Also I noticed, I believe your CMD should be +18 unless I'm missing something. Sorry if I'm being overly nosey.
Also, is Andoran your characters first or last name?
"Captain Andoran" |
Heh, well I haven't gotten around to creating a 'Secret identity' for the good Captain yet, so for now I suppose we'll go with either 'Cap', 'The Captain' or some such. ;)
Oops! Sorry! I forgot to scrub them from the HeroLab thing when I adjusted from 'Martial Artist' to 'Brawler'. Will edit that out, no worries.
As for the CMD? I just left it to HeroLab again. Sorry, I kow that program isn't perfect and I'm happy to adjust things as people find problems with the way its done the figures.
Don' get me started on how much it messes up the 'Titan Mauler' archetype. :P
Okay, edited to fit. :)
Ransaq |
Ah so no action points then, I see. Had my hopes up for a minute lol. I've never used HeroLab. Call me old fashioned I guess:)
So what about Andoran, is that your first or last name?
Ransaq |
Also, what is the +3 HP from? I think you may have shorted yourself there. Seems like it should be
10(fighter)+2(Con) at lvl 1
5+1(fighter)+2(Con) at lvl 2
4+1(monk)+2(Con) at lvl 3
which actually equals 27, plus possibly a couple more depending on favored class stuff
Also curious as to how you got fire resistance 5, I believe your fort and reflex saves are backwards, and it looks like you only spent 29 points when you configured your attributes lol. It looks like either your charisma should be a 15 or one of your other stats 12 or under should go up a point.
I'm not trying to pick ya apart or nothing. I just kept looking and noticing stuff. Some of it, like the extra ability point and the missed HP, I'm assuming is well received though:)
I didn't check out yur skills or special abilities
"Captain Andoran" |
Ah! I see what happened. Again, when I changed over from 'Unarmed Fighter' to 'Brawler' something shifted that shouldn't have. Thank'e.
Fire Resistance(5) is one of the variable options available to Aasimars (At least, again, according to HeroLab) The options were originally detailed in "Blood of Angels" i think?
Hmmm...the Saves are staying the same...no matter what I do with the program. Fort at +7, Ref at +5 and Will at +2 (With a +1 bonus from Fighter)
Hmmm...HeroLab doesn't actually do Stats with a 30 point buy. So that stuff up is purely my bad maths. :P
Adding a slightly more 'chiseled' chin... or brighter blue eyes (Upping the Cha) seems like a good enough deal for me. XD
Hopefully HeroLab has been okay with the points allocation for skills.
It's a handy little program and makes quickly 'Plug and playing' character ideas into it quick and fun. But, yeah, it's not perfect.
No worries about sorting out the wonky stuff.
I apologize for being such a clutz.

Much cheers to all.
This was completely accidentally.
What happened is that when I started the discussion thread, I got two options: start a new discussion thread, or link this campaign to an old discussion thread. I misclicked on the latter option and couldn't go back to undo it.

As a quick tip for PbP, make sure to note the "how to format your text" button below the composure box you type your post in.
For descriptions, simply type as normal:
Azrin walks out of the bar, looking much more sober than he feels.
For speech, use bold tags ([ b ], [ / b ]) around quoted text:
"Who are you, and where did you come from?"
For inner dialog (thought), use italics tags ([ i ], [ / i ]) around quoted text:
"I hope nobody saw that."
For OOC text, or something you want to say to the other players rather than the other characters, use the ooc tags ([ ooc ], [ / ooc ]):
Is this the same guy we knocked out and tied up in the closet last night?

Your resident drunken goth halfling checking in....wait what is this, you told me this was an adventure not an intervention

DM:I hope this helps for worldbuilding
P.S. You look....different...without makeup

@JB I'm pretty sure you can have only 1 default alias, but your gameplay alias is usually near the top of the list.
I am changing my background to come from Tiger-Headed Opium Nightmare
Edit: I'm not crazy, there was a post there. I swear it man
Ransaq |
Yes there was lol. I realized I made a completely irrelevant comment when I saw the DMs new pic lol
I just said screw it and changed my default alias to Ransaq

Do you think the group as made up can handle whatever you have planned?
If so I am good with whatever the group decides.
"Captain Andoran" |
Well...given how Real Life can just up and kick a person in the nether parts?
I believe in sending PM's, seeking clarification as to whether they can play etc.
Should things have taken a turn for the worst? ( *Shakes fist @ nefarious, uncaring world* ) Then, yes, with heavy heart, I think we should seek another player.
Azrin |
We could seek another, though I don't think we'd necessarily need a life oracle or other dedicated healbot. The rogue can use wands, I can use wands, technically the sorcerer could use infernal healing, etc. We have options. But perhaps an inquisitor, witch, bard, or other pseudo-healer?
Ransaq |
There's a couple ways that would be suitable, but I think perhaps the best one for everyone would be to continue without him and he can catch up to us if he makes it back. This of course is dependant on the party being able to heal itself, but that way we wouldn't have to wait around, neither would he be giving up his seat. I'm low on gp but I'll chip in on a wand with what I have. Someone else would have to use it though
We could leave a message with Jarrik for our late party member on where to seek us out

How much is a wand of infernal healing? I have a wand of CLW but I could exchange it.
Azrin |
Wands are priced based on spell/caster level, so a 1st-level wand of CLW and 1st-level wand of infernal healing are the same.
How I've seen it done in games (and I rather like it this way) is that other players "buy in" to any healing wands purchased, so if there are 5 of us, and I buy a wand of CLW, everyone else gives me 1/5th of the cost (or 150gp) so that healing is a group expense. If we have 3 wands and 5 players, everyone is out 450gp. But some players don't like that method as they think the cost of healing is just part of playing a cleric.
