So the general impression I am getting is that posting item names in any way, shape, or form that expresses my personal opinion of them (good or bad) is probably not a good thing to do before the top 32 are revealed. Whether or not that is correct is not really the point of this post.
I have a list of personal favorites that I collected through voting. I am sure I didn't see all of the greatest, but these would be the ones I regularly voted for. Anyone interested in what I saw and liked? PM me your list of favorites (top 10, 20, 32) and I will PM you mine. I won't even tell you which one on my list is my item (because let's face it, we are all biased)
Disclaimer... I will do my best to keep up if I suddenly get flooded with PMs. I am only human, and only a dedicated voter.

Curaigh, is there a specific reason why private discussion should be discouraged, or are you just worried you'll jinx yourself? :)
Since we can no longer affect the voting, this seems like a rather harmless pastime to me, especially if you a) don't give any information that could DQ you or your friends if leaked (i.e. list only items whose authors you don't know) and you b) don't accidentally send your list of favorites to one of the judges.

How do you PM if there isn't that option under the user's profile tab? Isn't that where the PM button is according to the FAQ thread? Or am I looking in the wrong place?
You know, it's the oddest thing. I tried to PM you earlier, and you don't have it in your profile. You must have disabled them somewhere in your settings?
Edit: Go to My Account and look in the left-hand bar. Check the box that says "Members of Paizo.com may send me private messages."

I have nothing against sharing privately. I want to see what everyone's favorites are. When 'tis appropriate I will post mine. :)

The PM wasn't my list - just a test. I actually don't have a list. This is my first year participating in this event so I have missed a few of the typical conventions.
I make up for all of that by incessant banter...
I'll jump. Similar caveat to Netopalis, list was made after the fact from memory.
For the record, this is awesome, and fun. Which is good because after only two days of waiting I was massively bored with the waiting. (what is with kids these days and their need for instant gratification?)
I can say I have seen a small number of repeats on people's lists (but I won't tell you which ones) and overall a massive variety of items. I have yet to see my item on anyone's list that has PM'd me. (first year, kind of expected that)
Hopefully if you have PM'd me, your item was in my list when I responded, because that is what makes this more fun. Onward to more fun! (and reason to keep checking these boards this week!)
Hmm... maybe I should go through the list of post-cull items and make a list of favorites. I know I had seen all those items listed (either pre-, post- or both).
I'll get to work on one soon. PM if you are interested in trading lists!

I didn't vote enough to have/make a list. Which is why I can't offer the trade. Just hoping next week you'll share it with everybody, that's all.

I made a keep folder. That's about it. There's also a handful of items I loved for its name alone.
I don't think it matters how much you voted DQ, I just want to see what ones you liked from what you saw. One list I saw was almost all items I had never seen voting. Plus there is the added bonus that maybe your item is on my list :) no worries if you don't have one, some people here just went back to the cull data base and picked off ones they remembered liking. I know I didn't see everything, I barely got to dedicated, its just fun to see what other people liked :)
I'll get to my recent PMs later tonight, curling match is about to start! Thanks to everyone participating! Hope you are having as much fun as I am.

Great idea, Papasteve08! It will be interesting to see who's picks (if any) will get the most matches to the judge's actual top 32. Then, when I inevitably don't make the top 32 this yeast, I'll be sure to have that person critique my item before RPG superstar 2015.

I'd love to see anyone's list as well. Unfortunately I don't have a list to share myself as I was voting on multiple machines and started keeping a list on only one of them. I sort of gave up after only adding a few items to it. I could tell you what I saw and voted for out of your list if you's like.

Being filled with envy at not having a list, I went through the cull list and selected items I was pretty sure that I would have added to my list if I had kept one. There were some items that I did not see and I could not be sure exactly of every item just from the name, but I think it is pretty accurate overall.

I agree, it is a very wide variety. I have noticed some lists also that have very distinct, and different tastes. I have also noticed a few lists with lots of items I never remember seeing...
I can tell you one thing, besides this just being fun, it makes me even more excited for the critique my item thread, as well as the actual top 32 reveal.
Having just received my first swap, I don't think we matched on anything.
So what I am doing now is looking at my notes and thinking to myself "what did I miss that they didn't" on the other list items.
Very illuminating.

I made a few swaps too and it's been very illuminating indeed. If I have the time, maybe I'll compile some statistics later (just numbers, no names) about how many items were on more than one list.

I've noticed a fair variety as well but a few seem to be doing very well. I wish everyone luck and I'd like to thank everyone who shared your lists with me. It's really cool to see the range and diversity of everyone's opinions.

I've noticed some items recurring on your different lists, as well as some themes. I saw an item or two on lists that I figured no one would pick, so I'm out of step with some of you I guess. It's enlightening to say the least, and I appreciate those of you who have shared a list with me.
I've only had 3 trades so far, but I can say the following:
- One list had 0 items the same.
- Two list had 1 item the same.
- Three lists did not have my item. /sad panda
- Eight items were present on two different lists (six if you don't count my list)
- Zero items were on more than 2 lists.
But all three lists were valuable insight into the preferences of the individuals. Sadly, four lists ranging from 12-32 items isn't alot of data to view.
Edit: Got a new list. There are now 16 items that are on exactly two lists. Still no items on 3 lists. And Sadly, still no list containing my item... Well, at least I voted on my item (except that one time...).

Just an observation. But, the exercise all of you are going through is kind of interesting (to me, at least), because in pretty much every year of the judges doing the sorting and selecting for Top 32, we arrived at a fairly quick consensus on the first 20 or so items. From there, we usually had to debate, trade, and golden ticket the remainder based on our individual preferences. That's where small factors could mean the difference between getting into the competition or being left behind in the Keep folder.
But, if you guys are having almost no consensus in your individual Top 32 lists, to me, that means the judges have been doing a pretty good job in their evaluations by comparison. It means they're seeing a lot of the same things when they do their individual analysis. And, for the purposes of the contest, I think that's what you'd want and expect to happen. They're not simply voting in lockstep with one another. Rather, the same design potential is evident to them on the majority of the items they select for Top 32. And again, remember, the judges don't necessarily vote for the item alone (like I suspect a number of public voters do). They're looking at what that item choice, design execution, and the creativity behind it tells them about the designer. In other words, they're not selecting 32 items for the contest. They're selecting 32 designers to compete. So, don't be surprised if their final Top 32 looks different, as well.

I am amazed how little consensus there is on the lists I have seen...
And utterly shocked that my item isn't on every list.

@Zi'on- If it makes you feel any better, any one person (excluding our 3 champion voters) couldn't have had probably more than a 2% impact on any single item. In most cases (based on the items I saw MULTIPLE times), it was between a .8% and 2.15% of the votes possible. Granted, this was running numbers from 300K-375K votes on anywhere from 503-550 items. There was one error in my assessment in that I didn't factor in the approximate number of items pre-cull and how many votes were taken at that time. So the numbers are spread over 503-550 and why I used such a large range of votes.
But anyways... just trying to cheer you up (and myself) with not being on lists. With over 2K voters and 300K votes, anything can happen!
