Some of these items are pretty damn good to be completely honest.
You know those two items with the exact same name and roughly the exact same function but are two different entries? They BOTH made it past the cull. :)

Dear Designer,
If the kinds of people who could afford that item actually want to use that item, then you and I are playing very different games.
There is quite a number of items suffering from this problem.

So, has anyone else seen two items you've seen before, mentally picked the superior item, gotten distracted, and, when the timer is up, voted on the wrong item? :S
Twice so far. When I do this, I not only feel bad on behalf of the item and contestant, it makes me wonder if I'm setting off some kind of logic bomb deep in the voting system.
If I see item A next to items C, D, and E, and downvote it against them all, and I see item B against those same three items and upvote it, what horrors am I inflicting when I accidentally upvote item A over item B?
And somewhere in the depths of Paizo, Gary is wondering why the server is making strangled sobbing sounds.
