100 votes after the cull: 15 items I tagged as "tier 3", i.e. good items that have a slight chance of making the top 32. One item tagged as "tier 2", and no first tier items seen yet after the cull.

oh man...I hate when I read posts here and link them to my item...only one post was specific enough that I knew...with others it may just be in my head.

I don't think I'll make the top 32, but I can't help but have a sliver of hope.

Oh why did I let my gaming buddy talk me into this???

Not getting into the Top 32 isn't as bad as you think. I've been doing that for the last six years.

You learn from your mistakes and you get better, if that's what you want. The things people say in here aren't nearly as bad as judges' feedback has been in past years if you ask to see it. "Reject...reject...reject..." isn't exactly comforting, but if you take the time to find out why your item was a reject, then you just might improve.

I know that feeling too Jeff. let me make you feel so much better :P ...

I trump your "Reject...reject...reject..." feedback with "This is giving me a headache. I'm going home".

Yes, in earlier years, I sent a judge home feeling ill from my item >.< - not just any judge, it was Sean >.< o-O O-o >.<

I made it past the cull! Wooooooooooooooooooooot! Honestly all I could have hoped for for my little spell in a can - avoiding shame and ignominy; Not that there's actually any shame to go around - maybe a leeetle bit of ignominy ;)

Did I read that someone is keeping a list of all the items that made the cull? And will that someone PM me that list?

I would like to know that too.

Marathon Voter Season 7

Ok, back to post-cull voting!

And you are still around, class-replacer? I still like your visuals so much I want to vote for you, and I will introduce to Monte's Chaositech in my next game because I think you guys were meant for each other, but I can't vote for you.

Dedicated Voter Season 7

Ah, bum, welcome back shame my item is Wonderous :(

It would be interesting to see how much of a boost in voting there was right after the cull. There seems to be no one (even those with lots of contest experience) 100% sure they are still in the contest. Mine showed up for me very quickly pre-cull, but hasn't turned up after yet.

And I found the 50 shades of grey item, so proud!

I am still looking for that, feared it might not have made the cull. Onwards!

It's not the item's fault that the creator obviously does not have English as his/her first language.

At least they *can* actually speak/write in a secondary tongue!

Monster-in-a-can. Not bad as such but lets see the competitor...

RPG Superstar 2011 Top 32 , Dedicated Voter Season 6, Star Voter Season 7, Star Voter Season 8 aka Isaac Duplechain

There's the Fifty Shades item. (It is at least my conception of the book; I read a few pages of mild curiosity and found it to be one of the most poorly-written novels of the modern era.) I upvoted it, mostly on weak competition.

Competitor is a Swiss-army-knife with dominant function being spell-in-a-can.

I think that monster-in-a-can will win because I like that particular monster. Oh, and the SAK seems to have more grammar and formatting errors. Sorry, in this pairing the tie will be determined by minor details.

Marathon Voter Season 7

Oh my, that pairing... I want to stuff the left-side item into the right-side item to see if it increases its effectiveness. But that'd probably include a troglodyte's stench aura, so maybe I should forget about this idea right now.

Dedicated Voter Season 7

Gross blech vs gross yikes!

Marathon Voter Season 7

Gack! Stop making me pick between two items I love!

Ah, just one sentence too far. Exactly one. Your writing by itself almost charmed my vote, but the spell was broken.

"A Sentence Too Far" could be a great title for various failed RPG/Writing project movie.

Marathon Voter Season 7

Especially if it includes Words of Power and Ancient Ones.

My GM doesn't allow my rogue sneak attack often item (not bad but not breath-taking either) versus very interesting but overpriced item that could use existing mechanics better.

Another neat idea but suffering from overpricing... It should be about 1/4th - 1/3rd of that because its bonus is very specific.

Two items of exactly 300 words and both with interesting ideas...

One has wrong aura listed and some redundancy in its description, the other lacks proper formatting of requirements.

Both could have some words cut down.

Marathon Voter Season 7

Agriculture Simulator 2014 item found. It's quite good.

Humorous item seemingly spawned by one of the (recurring) topics here on the Paizo forum. Simple and neat with a sprinkle of humor while remaining useful and falling into joke item category. Lets see the competitor.

A neat, simple and useful item but a bit overpowered item. If it allowed a saving throw or had some limitation to its effect it would be great.

Its competitor is also a neat, useful and flavorful item but its author overthought it leading to price being too high by a factor of 4 or so.

Submitted cloaks don't really seem to have a "theme". They aren't like boots or gloves that tend to have certain kinds of things they do. Cloaks seem to be pretty much a catch-all category...

Star Voter Season 7

God is killing me how many decent ideas I see that just don't have any specificity or weren't thought out well enough to avoid simple pitfalls.

Gah. Those two are giving me problem with deciding which is better because both show real potential...

Overpriced spell-in-a-can won just because it requires less polishing than the overpowered item.

Equipment-in-a-can?

Very specific one-shot defensive item. I doubt it will see much use but the very idea shows that its author clearly has potential.

Marathon Voter Season 7

Now I understand the comments about the tear items, there are more than one!

Sandman item?

When you note that item grants use of specific universal monster ability don't add afterwards "and the user can do x" when x is exactly what the granted monster ability does.

The Exchange Owner - D20 Hobbies , Marathon Voter Season 7, Marathon Voter Season 8

So I'm at 1075 votes total, 212 since I started recording all items.

I've seen 335 unique items. Does anyone know how many items exist post cull?

This item would be better if it wasn't class-specific. There are other classes could benefit from it too, after all.

I have only one thing to say about this item ...

"We are ... the lollipop guild! The Lollipop Guild! The Lollipop Guild!"

Good idea but mechanics need lots of polishing. *sigh* I choose you because the other item idea feels less novel to me.

Comrade Anklebiter's item, long time no see!

One item has a very specific and unusual price. I want to know how the author arrived at this particular number. I think it has something to do with pi.

Does it cost 3.141 gp?

I'm hungry now ... maybe one of the food items will come up ...

Another item with multiple auras of various strength. I wonder how they do that?
