Hey, all! I posted an interest check on Discord for a homebrew I’ll run. So far, Brainiac and Stalwart are in—they played through my last one-shot that I ran in June/July.
Things to know:
• it’s a three-act one-shot
• all PCs are female
• the system is a sorta mix of Amazing Tales and Apocalypse World
• we use Discord for rules/discussion (in part, because I can easily post helpful artwork there)

Fun fact: it's often easier for dogs to learn gestured commands as opposed to spoken ones! My sister trains her dogs in gestures, words, and shepherd's whistle (since she's a professional stockdog trainer who enjoys competing in herding competitions). That came in very handy when her elderly corgi went deaf.

I hate it when I go back to a post and I find one of my edits in my sentences was missed and was out of place, but more than an hour has passed so I can't change it.
To be fair, Pelipe hasn't said she wanted anything yet. She did want something sickly sweet and gooey, like a cinnamon bun. She was just reading the gnomish-marked pastries as she inched closer to the oven to see its enchantments (not that it really matters). Like I said, if she finds something gooey and delicious before she sees the oven, she will relate her order to Wonky as Ahto indicated. She did not go against his order.

Definitely! And hilarious to preview. With Pelipe's good roll in linguistics for Gnomish, she knows probably every 5th word. Any other type of word she isn't 100% sure of; especially as it is said far too fast for her. :P It'll be funny when she gets her order.
If anyone really wants to know what Goshstone whispers to Wonky, I'd have to place the Perception DC at 25 because he really doesn't want the wrong being overhearing.

While I'd hoped that Wonky would be unaffected so she'd be the only member of the party at their normal size, I'm happy with this outcome, too.
Considering her training to combat hags, it seems thematically fitting that Katrine would be able to resist a magical trap laid by dark fey.

If it's reduce person, the animals should be immune since the spell only affects humanoids. Is that the case, or did you mean to use a different spell?

I had overlooked that part of the spell description.
Katrine and the dogs are the only normal-sized party members right now.
In another game , another version of Addison Lane had to crawl through a magical oven and was shrunken. In the same lair, she found a door that led to the inside of her own stomach. She tossed a frying pan inside and felt something minuscule inside her belly. I’m not sure what exactly would have happened had she entered. I’m guessing something like an implosion.
She was shrunk to diminutive size by picking a flower. A talking cat tried to eat her. It was pretty wild, and the GM was definitely customizing spell effects. I wouldn’t personally have a problem if you customized, multiple size categories, shrink-animal effect even with the animal unwilling/unaware. All good!
