Once upon a time in Silverhall, Addison Lane had given up on the idea of love. She became the Vixen—her way of damning herself to eternally avenging her dead friend, since brutally murdering Vikki’s actual killer just wasn’t enough.
But early on in her quest to be the Vixen until her soul is beaten out of her, she made friends… and she met one in particular named Asham Kavinka. She was a farm girl who grew up to be a soldier. Her captain underestimated her almost as much as she underestimated herself, but the Vixen saw something in her that the rest of the world seemed to overlook.
And when a wyvern got way too close to this woman before anyone could know her potential, the Vixen sprang into action. It was worth taking a wing to the face, just to fight alongside the archeress. After that… well, talking about her feelings was scarier than kicking a wyvern, but the Vixen did it anyway.
As the relationship blossomed, Addison eventually mustered the courage to be herself, and not the Vixen, in Ash’s presence. She thought about proposing on Crystalhue… but then, why have a big wedding? Instead, Ash agreed to marry on the dawn of Crystalhue.
And so the big day began! Daddy walked Addy down the aisle—path in the woods, really—and Barris pronounced the two as wife and wife. Addy decided she would take Ash’s family name. The last wedding she went to made her the Vixen. Only fitting that her own wedding also gives her a new name…
