Tales of Midgard - Replacement characters

Recruitment

We are looking for some replacements for characters we lost while I was on hiatus.

Anyway, we are looking for a front line fighter-type, and a healer/religious-type to fill out the group.

We currently have a Paladin of Khors, a sorceress, and a shadow sworn.

If you look at the original Recruitment thread http://paizo.com/campaigns/DMTorillansTalesOfMidgard/recruiting&page=1, you can post submissions there rather than here. I will still check this thread to make sure I didn't miss anyone.

Pretty much (since its their world) anything published by Kobold Press, either from sourcebooks or KQ.

As for Paizo, I'd like to keep it somewhat simple, so here is my list (if you have any questions or would like to use something else from them, just let me know and I'll look into it. If it seems appropriate for your character, I'll most likely allow it):

Core book, APG, UM, UC, and UE.

I'd like to avoid using the ARG for now, as the Kobold Press stuff has some new choices. If you are desperate to play a race from the ARG, let me know.

Now, here is how to build your PCs:

1) 15-Point Buy, 2nd Level.
2) Choose two traits.
3) Any non-evil alignments.
4) Max HP at first level, average plus Con bonus after that.

5) Average starting gold for your class.

For background, you will be arriving in the village of Levoca for some reason (its on the eastern edge of the Margreve forest), most likely heading to the city of Zobeck.

Admittedly I know nothing about the setting, but how about a Plant Shaman to fill that healer/religious-type ?

The class is from Kobold Press, so go ahead and submit. I look forward to seeing it.

Would a Battle Scion be acceptable for the front-liner?

I've been keeping an eye out for this since I noticed your game at least 6 or 8 months ago. I'll get something together shortly!

Is a free plains centaur a possibility or will it be too much hassle?

It would be neat to see how it plays out, but I think for this game it would be too much. Centaurs aren't well liked in Midgard, and it could go badly for him.

Sorry.

Submitting Logan Baccus for your consideration. He started a campaign but it recently fell out from under him, and I was very sad to see it go as I was really liking where I was going with the character.

Logan is a water born barbarian who got lucky and became a pirate captain (see background). However he recently has felt sick (he's going to multiclass into oracle then prestige into rage prophet) and is traveling to land, searching for anybody that might know whats wrong with him.

Logan will start out as a frontline melee DPS, eventually turning into a secondary healer and buffer

This is a character originally made for a short-lived Midgard game. He's definitely a good front-liner and already built for the setting.

He's a Paladin raised on the Shadow Road by a woman who may or may not have been an avatar of the Shadow Goddess. He's good and very idealistic, but he's also pragmatic and not always nice. (his whole concept is vaguely batman-inspired). Eventually I plan on having him become a Shadowdancer.

The end of his backstory is an adventure hook for the game he was originally built for. That can easily be changed to suit your game.

Let me know what you think.

Sorry folks...recruitment closed. Game won't be moving forward.

Thanks for the interest.
