New SLAs FAQ, Teleportation Sub-School, and Dimensional Agility Feats

Rules Questions

I have been just over-hearing about new FAQ rules on Spell-Like abilities.

I was wondering, does this mean that the Teleportation Sub-School Shift power can now be used to qualify for Dimensional Agility?

Thank you,
-Hexen

No, the the FAQ specifically addresses spell-like abilities, and the subschool power is a Supernatural ability which works "as if" it were dimension door. The "as if" phrase is generally used as shorthand to mean "This thing is not that other thing, but follow the rules for it except where this changes them."

Ah so the Synthesist ability "Maker’s Jump (Sp)" would count now?

I was going to come in here and say that you were wrong and obviously hadn't understood the "as if" point from the other poster, then I checked before I posted and realized that yes, Maker's Jump would indeed count.

Good thing I checked the facts before making an ass of myself.

Yep. Although you're still limited by how many times you can use that ability per day.
