I think that until you get further into the original campaign, the answer is "yes", you will hit spoilers if you're not careful.
There are several things going on in the Runelords campaign that the GM knows about but are not revealed until parts 2,3 and in some games part 4.
There are admitedly different levels of spoilers. Thers a difference between knowing who the bad guy in "star trek into darkness" is and knowing the entire plot, for example.
If you, as characters, dont know much about (hunts around for something that is not a big spoiler) ...ah... Runelords and their powers.... Then you're likely to hit some issues. Not to mention that the first adventure in an AP often contains info about the whole Ap to help the GM shape the campaign.
I dont think it would be disasterous...but you would miss out on the fun of discovering certain information about your foes, their strengths. Weaknesses, allies, etc.
I'd suggest a different AP if you wish to avoid some spoilers. given you'll be alternating the GMing, I'd go with Crimson Throne or Serpents Skull...but just about any other Ap would probably be better.
