If they do play out of tier, don't forget to give them out of tier gold ;-)

The past special had a hard limit at 12. No level 11 or lower could play 12+. I believe that's still the case with Siege of the Diamond City. Above 12, people could mix and match as needed, but I would highly suggest not playing up if you can avoid it. One HD can make all the difference at those levels. The difference between HD-4 and HD-5 can be brutal even if you make a save...

Our planned 12-13 table lost two players, and we're looking to add two more. We're trying other routes, too, but I figured I'd ask here as well. We're looking for a group that enjoys the role-play aspect but can move through things efficiently. If you've played with any of us previously, please mention where and when because we're interested in table chemistry and not just character chemistry. :)

We have:
Dale, conjuration wizard, casts Summon Monster as a standard action
Robbie Nackle, sorcerer with Quicken metamagic and lots of useful tricks for damage, debuffs, and crowd control
Roy "Smashface", barbarian who typically does 120 damage per round before adding damage dice
Grikmet Grandovalna, rogue 7/pathfinder delver 6, skill monkey and trap scourge (Perception +31 for traps), supporting damage

While a cleric or life oracle would be good, we're willing to attempt the Race to Zero HP in most combats.

I'm interested. Sent you a PM about my character.

Hi, everybody. I'm one of the GMs for the 12+ tables for the GenCon Special. Looking forward to it! I'm pretty excited. My experience at this level of play has been somewhat limited, though, and I wouldn't mind looking at some character sheets from other players so that I can get an idea of what sort of rules I should bone up on. Would a few players mind sending me a copy of one of their character sheets for any level from 12-16? I'd greatly appreciate it.

All of them. Seriously. Ran tier 12-13 and was not ready for the insanity my table brought.

Well, sure. But I suspect that, say, Parting Shot will be more popular than Moonlight Stalker Master. Just wouldn't mind the opportunity to glance over a couple in preparation.

I'll toss you a PM with some of my high level character info later, so you can see what kind of tricks to expect.

I know, just being silly. :) Some of the more obscure martial combinations might throw you. Also, make sure to have your stat blocks ahead of time. I didn't get the Inner Sea Bestiary and was only saved by one of the players having a hardcopy with them.

Ooh, I hadn't gotten down that far yet. That puts a wrench in things. I don't own that book, nor do I really wish to purchase it just for a single stat block in a single scenario...

Any chance that us GMs will either get the relevant stat blocks or a copy of the download? It's not core assumption.

You can try the d20pfsrd.

Not for players:
I found the Kakuen-taka, which was a real rough monster to run cold.

Even better - recruit a party of players in this thread, so you'll know in advance EXACTLY what PCs you're running for. :)

I suppose I could. Anybody want me? I'm really good at playing the insane!

Yeah, I forgot we weren't in GM discussion. That would be a hilarious part of that encounter. XD

Ran a table of 15's in Part 1 and 16's in Part 2 last year. I was ready. They were not. ;-)

Going to be interesting to see who shows up this year. Demons, especially those published in traditionally non-core sources can be very complicated to run and fight.

I feel that I've got a good handle on how the monsters work. Nasty ones, to be sure. I have a feeling that there will be more than a handful of raise deads used.

Netopalis: I PMed you a quick write up of the character I played at the special.

Actually I'm happy to share it with anybody who cares. It doesn't have all the detail of his physical sheet, but might still be helpful.

Ya no shadow listed on that sheet, it's been surprisingly awesome though.

And a real headache tracking which enemy was taking penalties and which wasn't with how quickly the party was mulching them. :)

My wife and I each have level 15 characters.

My wife has an Eldritch Knight and I have a Druid. Her EK has been played all of the way up and my Druid has been played up from about Lvl 8 or 9 (mostly GM credit up to level 8). Her EK is a hard hitter with spells. My Druid can tank and has a lot of good utility mix. Heal spell is a nice one too.

We have tickets to the special and are looking for a table.
