Best Gestalt arcane combo?

Advice

Was thinking Mindchemist to go with wiz. The bombs for when I dont need spells, Cognatogen for great DC's. More hps, better skills, and a few healing formulae round it out.

Anyone have a better partner for wiz in mind?

Tough to beat.
Additionally...
- the good saves compliment each other... FORT and REF (alch), and WILL (wiz)
- d8 HD
- +2 more skill ranks
- Enhanced potion brewing, now with the full wizard list, not just the alchemist list
- INT INT INT crazy
- Light Armor Proficiency, so if you take Arcane Armor Training you can wear leather armor, or mithral chain shirt, with no ASF (swift action).

If you want to go full caster, I don't think anything will beat mindchemist. It gives skills, staying power and damage in the form of bombs, and a great boost to saves. I can think of a lot of cool gish type wizard gestalts, but for pure awesome spellcasting I think you've pretty much found the perfect option already. Beware of dumping strength though. Strength damage is fairly common, and you need some sort of buffer to deal with the penalty and ability damage from the cognatogens.

One other option off course is a sorcerer. Particularly one with the sage bloodline. Some people will say that having that many spells is uselss overkill, and that a gestalt is supposed to fix your weaknesses rather than add to your strength, but the sheer power of casting a high level spell every single round instead of mixing up lower and higher level spells has definite appeal. You could also crossblood sage with something like fey for a save-or-suck focus, or something like orc for a damage focus. I know combining crossblooded and wildblooded is considered against RAW by many people, but I'd expect most GMs to allow it.

Admittedly, this isn't a pure spellcasting Arcane, but I'm currently in a Gestalt game and am running a Paladin/Alchemist. It gives you best saves across the board, lots of immunities, full BAB along with Mutagens to boost saves. I went with Rage Chemist (since Poison is against the Paladin code) for the additional Natural Armor and stat bonuses and because making a DC15/DC20 save when you have a +7 Will Save at level 4 isn't too worrisome.

You also have a massive amount of Self-Buffing ability thanks to extracts (which can be used in Heavy armor), Mutagen, Smite, and Paladin spells. You do need to be runnning with a higher level point build, though, since you need 4 good stats (STR, CON, INT, and CHA) for it to work. With a 25-point build, I went with:

STR - 14 (16 with the Half-Elf racial +2)
DEX - 10
CON - 14
INT - 15
WIS - 8
CHA - 16

I also took the Indomitable Faith trait to make up for the -1 Will saves, and took my INT from 15 to 16 at level 4 so I could use all levels of Extracts.

mmm i don´t

How about a Ranger/Inquisitor. All Good saves with evasion and stalwart. The extra feats from combat style are nice. A TWF style with out the need for a high dex. FE + Judgement and Bane is nasty combo along with teamwork feats and solo tactics. This is what I'd play in Gestalt game.

Which part of that is supposed to be arcane?

Mindchemist may not be pure arcane, but temp boosts to int will help DC's, start with 20 int, get EVERYTHING possible to raise, and cog's to make save or sucks really suck

Scarab Sages

Bladebound Kensai/Wizard

Take broad study at 6th level.
