Liberty's Edge

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I've been signing up for games via the Winnipeg Pathfinder Lodge on Warhorn.com, and so far it's been fairly easy to specify 'Sorcerer level 1'.

But now I'm a second level character (Sorcerer 1/Mobile Fighter 1), but that's not an option in the scroll down menu. Only singular classes or roles. These roles include:

Tank
Cavalry
Light Infantry
Archer
Arcane Caster
Artillery
Summoner
Divine Caster
Medic/Support
Rogue
Psionic Manifester
Generalist

Near the top of the menu are also:

Defender
Striker-Melee
Striker-Ranged
Controller
Leader-Tactical
Leader-Healing

What do these roles do, and which one would a combat-oriented Sorcerer/Mobile Fighter fall under?

The Exchange

If I were you I'd class myself at Light Infantry or Striker-Melee... of course, that's assuming you're building your character for touch spells and strike-and-fade. For all I know you've loaded up on defensive spells and feats, in which case you might want to claim to be a Defender.

I'd almost want to add Crafter to that list. You sacrifice a bit of battlefield prowess to get some rather nice toys on off days.

Pick the class that matches what you do in the game.

If you're at the front line swinging a sword, pick Fighter.

If you're mostly casting spells and swinging your sword when threatened, pick Sorcerer.
