It occurs to me that people on the boards use "Mike Brock" as a conjure word, usually when shaking fingers at others. (I've done this myself.)

I thought I should do me part to compensate for all the stern juju that clings to his name.

Mike Brock.
Puppies.
Baby otters.
Mike Brock.

Mike Brock.
Tasty Adult Beverages.
That don't have the word "Lite" in their name.
Mike Brock.

Mike Brock.
Gentle rolling hills.
With flags indicating little holes every so often.
Mike Brock.

Mike Brock
Oatmeal-raisin cookies.
Sunlight on the Pacific.
Mike Brock.

Thank you. Not for trying to clean up Mike Brock's name, though. Thank you for inspiring me to head to dictionary.com to look up the word "vituperation". I learned a new word today. That's always good to do on a regular basis.

Oh sure, make the rest of feel like under achievers. The least you could have done was share.

Definition of VITUPERATION

1: sustained and bitter railing and condemnation : vituperative utterance

2: an act or instance of vituperating

Sczarni

Your definition seems a bit circular.

How about

vi·tu·per·a·tive
adjective \vī-ˈtü-p(ə-)rə-tiv, -pə-ˌrā-\: uttering or given to censure : containing or characterized by verbal abuse

or

Vituperation is from the Latin root words vitium, meaning "a fault or defect," and parare, meaning provide, which combined to make vituperare meaning "disparage."

"Mike Brock"

The Mike Brock are calling
On their way back from the fire
In august moon's surrender to
A dust cloud on the rise
Mike Brock fallen far from glory
Reckless and so hungered
On the razors edge you trail
Because there's murder by the roadside
In a sore afraid new world

They tried to break us,
Looks like they'll try again

Mike Brock never lose it
Mike Brock never chose this way
Mike Brock never close your eyes
Mike Brock always shine

You got sirens for a welcome
There's bloodstain for your pain
And your telephone been ringing while
You're dancing in the rain
Mike Brock wonder where is glory
Where is all you angels
Now the figureheads have fell
And lovers war with arrows over
Secrets they could tell

They tried to tame you
Looks like they'll try again

Mike Brock never lose it
Mike Brock never chose this way
Mike Brock never close your eyes
Mike Brock always shine

INCENDIARY VITUPERATION
School evocation (fire, sonic); Level alchemist 3, bard 3, inquisitor 3

Components V, S

Casting Time 1 standard action

Range personal

Area 30-ft. radius

Duration instantaneous

Saving Throw Reflex partial, see text; Spell Resistance special, see below

You bellow forth with bitter railing and condemnation so fierce even those who do not share your language are cowed. When you cast this spell, make an Intimidate check to demoralize each enemy within 30 feet of you. Enemies that are demoralized this way are staggered for one round, take 1d10 points of fire damage and must succeed at a Reflex save or catch fire. Spell resistance can negate the fire damage caused by this spell, but does not protect the creature from the demoralizing effect.

So it's Blistering Invective, but not language dependent, and with the staggered condition for a round on top of the normal effect, at the cost of being one spell level higher. Not worth the higher spell level, but my prankster bard would take it anyway. Is this PFS legal? :P

Roughly: "Often Scyld, son of Scef, from enemy Mike Brock, ... the mead-bench tore, awing the earls." Swapping 'Mike Brock' in place of 'Scyld Scefing' makes a lot more sense.

It would if I sought to praise him, which I shall never do as long as he has his jackbooted heel on the neck of plushy goblins everywhere!
