Are Javelins considered Ammo?

Rules Questions

Have a Fighter holding a greatsword in both hands. Say, he only has his standard action remaining and wants to draw and throw a javelin at a target 30 feet away then regrip his greatsword in two hands.

Release a two-hander into your off hand[free action], draw ammo[free] and throw javelin[standard], then regrip[free]. Is that all correct? Maybe javelin isn’t considered ammo for the purposes of being thrown?

Javelin are not ammunition. They are thrown weapons.

The correct action costs would be:
Release 2 hander (free)
Draw weapon (move)
Throw Weapon (standard)
Regrip (free)

Assuming your GM is good with those free actions not being "too many" or unrealistic.

The ammo table is:
"Ammunition Item Price Weight
Arrows (20) 1 gp 3 lbs.
Atlatl dart 1 gp 2 lbs.
Bamboo shaft arrows (10) 1 gp 1/2 lb.
Blowgun darts (10) 5 sp —
Blunt arrows (20) 2 gp 3 lbs.
Crossbow bolts (10) 1 gp 1 lb.
Flight arrows (20) 2 gp 3 lbs.
Kestros dart (10) 5 gp 5 lbs.
Repeating crossbow bolts (5) 1 gp 1 lb.
Sling bullets (10) 1 sp 5 lbs.
Smoke arrow 10 gp —
Whistling arrows (20) 2 gp 3 lbs."
The only other special note with thrown weapons is shuriken, whose text states:
"Although they are thrown weapons, shuriken are treated as ammunition for the purposes of drawing them and crafting masterwork or otherwise special versions of them, and of what happens to them after they are thrown."

Thanks. I like how you phrased it. The note on the shuriken sort of puts things into perspective.

Tarantula is correct.

If you want to save the move action though all you need to do this is quick draw. Javelins are thrown weapons just like say a thrown dagger. They are not ammunition but Quick Draw lets you draw a weapon for free so throwing it just uses the appropriate attack.

Changing a grip on a weapon has been ruled by the dev's as no kind of action at all if I remember correctly.

So assuming your fighter has quick draw the correct process for what you want to do is:

"Release a two-hander into your off hand [not an action at all], draw Weapon [free from Quick Draw] and throw javelin [standard attack action], then regrip [not an action at all]. "

Quick Draw also lets you throw as many thrown weapons in a full attack as you would get melee swings.
