Need help selecting monsters for a Thassilon themed dungeon.

Advice

So, ive decided to do a dungeon centered around a Thassilon lord. The idea is for the dungeon to be an old hub, kind of like a train station of sorts, where delegates from the other runelords kingdoms would come and stay before taking transports to the capitol. I havnt decided yet which rune lords capitol it will belong to, but what I do know is this.

Each of the "wings" of the dungeon will be populated by followers of each of the 7 sins, all working together in a shaky alliance to help the "main" sins followers in their attempt to unearth their rune lord. They will ofcourse all have their own agendas and plots, which the PCs might use against them.

What I hope to get help with is populating the different wings with thematically appropriate monsters.

So, heres hoping the collective can help me speed up the process of selecting thematic monsters. For reference, the 7 sins are:

Envy

Gluttony

Greed

Lust

Pride

Sloth

Wrath

Have at it, and thank you.

Scarab Sages

Neat idea. One guideline that can help you at least a bit is to bear in mind the magical schools that the Thassilonians associated with each sin. This is certainly easier for some schools than others.

Envy - Monsters that take, or drain. Envy is associated with Abjuration. Good choices would include mosquito swarms, poisonous snakes/serpentfolk, disenchanters, and maybe rust monsters and shadows (who would also be a sort of intermediary from Envy to Greed and Gluttony, respectively). Traps that dispel or drain magic would also be good in here.

Gluttony - GHOULS, GHOULS, GHOULS! This one's the easiest, being associated with Necromancy from the getgo and all. You can toss a vampire in at the end, too. Monsters that can swallow whole, or who are hostile to adventurers simply out of hunger (like piranha swarms) would also be good here. You could also feature assassin vines, since they not only try to eat you, but have edible berries of their own (make them prominent and tempting for the PCs, with the dangerous part of the plant well-concealed).

Greed - This one's harder. Greedy monsters would be reasonable here, and Greed is associated with the Transmutation school - converge the two, and the prime result you get is...medusae! Mimics would also be ideal. Doppelgangers wouldn't be bad, maybe a dragon and rakshasa (sharing links there with Wrath and Pride, respectively). A really nasty and devious trap to feature would be something that granted a PC "the Midas touch."

Lust - Lust is associated with Enchantment, so stocking this with fey, particularly Evil-inclined nymphs and satyrs, would be an obvious choice, and succubi/incubi are a given. Vampires of certain varieties would also be good here, as well as other mind-controlling monsters.

Pride - Pride is associated with Illusion, so that's all the more reason to prominently feature both rakshasas and aboleths. A blue dragon would be good here, too, since they're also keen on illusion in addition to their abundant pride. Traps that rely on flattering/challenging the PCs and what they consider themselves to be particularly good at (only for their strengths to be betrayed by illusions) would also be good here.

Sloth - This one's conceptually tricky, isn't it? The easy part comes from the fact that Sloth is associated with Conjuration, so this place can be heavy on Outsiders and summoned/summoning enemies. "Lazy" monsters like oozes and plants would also be very good here, and this is a particularly good place for traps of all kinds, particularly those that either force the PCs to hustle (like the Indiana Jones boulder) or slow them down, or both!

Wrath - HERE BE DRAGONS! Wrath is associated with Evocation, so you could have plenty of dragons/draconic beings and elementals. Enemies with Bloodrager levels would also be shoe-ins here.

For Wrath... really only Reds, whites, blacks and occasionally coppers are really wrathful. Even blues and greens are enormously patient and disciplined, let alone the other chromatics. All them fit incredibly well into pride, but greed even moreso. Even the ultra good gold dragon still has a hoard worth hundreds of thousands of gold by the time they're wyrms. And hell, in norse mythology a dragon was someone who was so incredibly they spontaneously turned into a dragon.

Get ideas from book 5 of rise of the runelords. Its called sins of the saviours. Really good and it is a dungeon that includes wings dedicated to each sin and runelord.

I agree with Fruian, this exact concept is outlined as the main dungeon in book 5 of RoTRL. It's well written and a tough challenge.
