Bas Celik is a awesome creature from Serbian myth.
It resembles an evil angel with steel wings that needs to drink water in order to stay immortal and immune to damage.

Hmmm, I might have a go myself at spec'ing up a version of that Bas Celik - it would fit in so well with the Iron Gods campaign ;)
I could make the drink water aspect a dehydrating touch attack - ewww a touch attack that debilitates and dehydrates - nasty ;)
The wings could close around the angel to act as an impenetrable barrier/shield giving it some major DR maybe while it casts healing on itself... total immunity to damage isn't a great thing to give a creature ;)
Maybe some sort of spinning / pouncing from fly by / wing buffet that does some sort of slicing and dicing effect.
Yeah, definite possibilities.

As long as it isn't sciencefiction-based, robot or with laser attacks i'm fine with it! I see the Bas Celik more like a clockwork creature or a iron golem creature, not a high tech creature for numeria.
Anyways check my Pinterest page, it has huge updates, many creatures added, I hope they all shine one day in Pathfinder bestiaries! Pinterest page 2 clicky

I found some new critters:
Zitiron - Armored merman, very strange and war-like.
Osschaart - Strange animals dressed in chains, jump on the backs of people and become heavier with every step.
Raven Mocker - Humanoid ravens that control flocks of ravens and which feed on the old, sick and dying.
Moskitto - Enormous mosquito's.
Ushi-Oni - Bull Spiders
Berberoka - Female swamp monsters that suck in and spit out water.

Moskitto is from lumberjack American folklore called fearsome critters. Why ushi-oni as big boss? In my univers they will probably replace bebelith.
It's a weird setting. In it, Ushi Oni, being an Oni species, are fairly humanoid. (In mythology they can go either way.) Within the setting, monsters are mutated humans, sentient and usually fairly humanoid (even when the mythical version isn't.) It takes place in modern times, and the Ushi Oni is the leader of a faction of monsters who are hell bent on destroying the humans. He's kind of like a mix of Lex Luthor and (a more competent) Cobra Commander in terms of his role in universe. He is actually at war with a lot of the traditional Big Bads of fantasy/mythology, who are actually good. Long story. Damn that sounds so weird out of context, but you get the idea. Maybe. I swear this makes a lot more sense in context.
If you want a better idea of how the setting, Pantheon of Darkness, works, try this page:

Mechagamera |
The Godzilla cartoon, based on the Tri-Star Godzilla "Zilla", had a mosquito monster, Skeetera, that would be a good fit for Pathfinder. It starts as a large mosquito that hunts creatures with breath weapons. If it sucks blood out of them, it grows a size category and gains the breath weapon for a day. So if there are a bunch of dragons in an area, Skeetera could quickly become a serious menace.

Here is the info WDL
And I post all my new discovered mythology critters, I don't even want some in the bestiary 5, but we just share cryptids and mythos here.
And I rather see 10.000 mosquito's than 1 robot.
Glue-Keek sounds awesome, gonna check it out.
And Kthulhu is just jealous and hatefull, nevermind him.

He doesn't like Sci-Fi elements in the game. But it's best not to start up that argument again.
The Evil Queen |
Because when Robots eventually invade the bestiaries, there is no stopping the SF-theme anymore, and all the themes will be be replaced by it.
I don't mind and even like the aliens, the movie freaks, the clockworks and the lovecraft SF monsters mixed in with the fantasy/mythology ones. But anything with a computer in it or machine gun is just too far off in my opinion and shouldn't be in a book like this. Innersea books are perfect for them though, and bestiaries were perfectly fine without the Robots all these time, so why change it, keep pouring them in special books, innersea bestiaries and the current AP-line and let the Bestiary 5 be free from them to please multiple parties.
And I probably get hated for this again, but you asked so I answered my own opinion about them.
the "i'd rather see" sentence was more to annoy Kthulhu btw, because he obviously wanted to annoy me.
Myth Lord |
10,000 mosquitos would be a swarm so you seen them in a bestiary, now it's time for robots;)
Well, robots had enough of time, this entire half year is about robots, AP's books, ect, so they don't have to invade Bestiary 5 as well.
Anyway i'm really digging this new creature WDL mentioned, the mosquito-men! So make that another wish from me!
Dragon78 |
They can and they will be in B5, Sincubus.
Has far as Agathions go, I would like to see any of those animals and more. Also since we have a dragon based Agathion why not a unicorn, griffon, phoenix, or couatl based ones.
We could have a Card Archon with a power related to each card suit(spade, diamond, club, and heart). Also Archons based on sword, flower(or specific type like rose or lotus), hammer, ship, and moon.

Not really. Sincubus has done plenty of crapping on ideas he doesn't personally agree with in this thread.

It's been months since I last did that, you just keep hammering on that because you are a troll and you want to turn me into a troll because you enjoyed my negative energy, you dirty negative energy vampire.
A negative-energy vampire like Cthulhu would be nice in Bestiary 5.

Please stop crapping on each other's wishes and please stop sniping at each other in this thread.
But but but watching Sincubus and Kthulhu accuse each other of dumping on people's tastes is deliciously ironic that I'm not sure anything can top that. It's so meta.

I just like the idea of celestials with playing cards as weapons.
Though we already had a conversation about "sex angels", it still sounds interesting.
An "amnesiac ancient Egyptian Pharaoh spirit", wouldn't that just be a old human ghost aristocrat with the amnesia insanity?
About the crapping on each other ideas: there is a different between saying "I don't want it in the books because I don't like it" and saying that then giving a reason why.
poiuyt |
Wasn't that the story of the power rangers movie? It has been many years since I have seen it.
Never liked Yugioh, though the manga did a lot more then just the monster card battles.
The last part of the movie.
And yeah, pre card games Yugioh was awesome (beating a result of 6 on 1D6).

So, change of subject here, but for my own setting I just came up with ideas for a race/group of races of humanoid dinosaur/retrosaur monsters. Don't know if they would be appropriate for this, but I decided to call them "Saurogs," which is nice and brutish sounding, considering that they are meant to look like Retrosaurs. If you don't know what that word means, it basically akins to monsters that are based on old time depictions of Dinosaurs, big, brutish and scaly. Godzilla is a great example, the term is used a lot in the Kaiju fandom. I figured that they may be the result of some wizard trying to fuse humans with dinosaurs, with some unexpected consequences. I figured they would be fairly savage, and call themselves things based on their physical characteristics rather than the correct names of the Dinosaurs. The ones I plan to use are:
Saurog, Beakbasher (Oviraptor)
Saurog, Bladehead (Parasaurolophus)
Saurog, Boar Croc (Kaprosuchus)
Saurog, Boneback (Stegosaurus)
Saurog, Crocjaw (Suchomimus)
Saurog, Demonskull (Dracorex)
Saurog, Devilhorn (Carnotaurus)
Saurog, Dragonfang (Ceratosaurus)
Saurog, Fleshshredder (Postosuchus)
Saurog, Hammertail (Ankylosaurus)
Saurog, Headbanger (Pachycephalosaurus)
Saurog, Hellmaw (Rugops)
Saurog, Quillneck (Amargasaurus)
Saurog, Razorbeak (Cearadactylus)
Saurog, Razorscythe (Therizinosaurus)
Saurog, Ridgeback (Acrocanthosaurus)
Saurog, Saberjaw (Gorgonops)
Saurog, Sailback (Dimetrodon)
Saurog, Scutehide (Scelidosaurus)
Saurog, Sea Lord (Tylosaurus)
Saurog, Shoulderspike (Edmontonia)
Saurog, Sickleclaw (Deinonychus)
Saurog, Spiketank (Gastonia)
Saurog, Spittor (Dilophosaurus)
Saurog, Squawkbill (Anatotitan)
Saurog, Stomper (Apatosaurus)
Saurog, Strikeserpent (Elasmosaurus)
Saurog, Thorncrown (Styracosaurus)
Saurog, Thunderhorn (Triceratops)
Saurog, Tyrant (Tyrannosaurus)
Edit: Maybe these guys could be Dinosaur Agathions? The ascended souls of good Barbarians and other "Savage" heroes?

Just at the idea stage. I'm a new GM and haven't actually done any homebrew stats yet. When I say "my own setting" I mean the universe my novel series takes place in. So a fantasy setting, but not one gaming related. Unfortunately. I plan to make homebrew monsters eventually, but I'm in the middle of my first real campaign. Maybe I'll try sometime soon, but it seems to be a lot more difficult than it looks.
