I'd happily see Bestiary 5 postponed for a year to see a 256+ page hardcover template book. Especially one that avoided overlap with the advanced Bestiary. Hell, I'll give you a few jumping off points:
SRD (don't forget the Epic section)
Silverthorne Games' Book of Templates: Deluxe Edition 3.5
Nighthawk Interactive's Templates of Terrors
I haven't actually read thru the last, just discovered it. Assuming it's OGL.

I don't know... as much as I'd love a template book, I don't think I'd want to postpone a bestiary for it. I like the bestiary because it has ready-made creatures in it from folklore that I love. I can easily fit them in with little fuss or work. With a template, there will always be more work to be done, especially to make sure that the new creature is the correct CR. And while I love templates, they are admittedly more work and I honestly don't know if I even need 256 pages of templates. Still, I'd love to see something like Inner Sea Bestiary, only for templates. Large enough for me (maybe 40 templates) and not too overwhelming.
What I REALLY want to see is some advice on running player characters with templates. Certain templates like the Half Demon/Celestial and Advanced would be fun to give to players as rewards for doing things.

More Great Old Ones would be great as well as more demon lords and empyreal lords also I would like to see some infernal dukes, asura ranas, rakasha immortals and powerful creatures seek to defend each of the elemental planes from outer planar invasion. Clockwork griffins, and clockwork versions of every day objects like boats, full plate suits, houses and castles and so on

Well this isn't 3.5 anymore. Things have changed and honestly, I'm sure some advice for running it would always be helpful.

I would much prefer a hardcover bestiary but if we are not getting that next year then maybe a monster related book with more then templates. Such as monster archetypes and monster prestige classes.
3.5 failed at a lot of things and that was a different company with a different way of doing things.
Some clockwork griffins would be cool along with clockwork creature versions of moles(medium to large), eagles(medium), fish(large), octopus(huge), snake(large), etc.

That's what I mean, a ultimate/advanced book that focuses on monsters like archetypes/prestige classes for monsters and archetypes/prestige classes that are monster themed for players and much, much, more. But that has nothing to do with this wishlist so let me get back on subject. I would like to see some new types of CN, LN, and N outsider groups. A new subcategory of dragons like drakes and linnorms but new. A subcategory of fey like gremlins but maybe faeries/fairies since we have tooth fairies and tombstone fairies.

Look out for the Advanced Bestiary next year then.

Yeah, that's on my radar. Though I thought it was coming out in 2014?
Also, with Numeria coming out this year, I'd love to see some bleed over and see some more aliens and robot type enemies. It would fit in well to what I'm running this year (an ancient astronaut Mayan empire campaign) so I'd love to see it.

Berselius, I like that list.
Thanks, glad you like it. I tried to make the celestials different than their WotC's versions. Like giving the Equinal defensive/bodyguard abilities, giving the Ursinal a calming aura ability, allowing the Justice Archon to absorb spells thrown at it that fail to bypass it's SR, giving the Warden Archon an ability similar to the Apostate Devil's Ohrwurm (except the alignment becomes one step closer to LG), etc etc.
Bersilius? Great list! We need more high powered celestials.
Your welcome and hell yes we need more bad ass celestials! The fiends can't get all the fun now can they?
Berselius, some of the azata names are likely product identity of WotC, but I do like that breakdown.
True but again, Paizo managed to use the Cervinal (I'm guessing because they made it almost totally different from it's WotC form). I figured if Paizo could take the Cervinal and transform it to something unlike it's WotC's version then Paizo could do the same with other celestials too. That's why I tried to make them all somewhat different from their WotC's versions. Of course, I could be mistaken on this but I have a sneaky suspicion that I'm right (aka the little voice instead my head that I stole from Magnum P.I.) ^_~
The pleasure devil wasn't one that I was a big fan of, though I like the devilish designation "Lillim" better than "Brachina".
Eh, I thought the idea of a Pleasure Devil was pretty damn cool to be honest. It kinda gals me that there isn't a breed of Devil like that for Pathfinder. Yeah, I know the devils are all about tyranny and pain but by the gods they have to have realized that pleasure can warp the minds of mortals just as well as any tyrant's iron fist.
The Shiradi are sort of lame (neither of those your fault though as it hearkens back to the original material.)
Well, again, the Shiradi I was trying to make wasn't the Shiradi that WotC made. This Shiradi would have spells, spell-like abilities, plus an aura of freedom of movement (and maybe we could add an ability to sunder objects like chains and stuff while we're at it). ^_~
A cyborg template would make more sense then a half-golem template so I am all for that. Though some cybernetic rules for player characters (in another book) without using a template would be nice.
Well, the machines of Numeria are called Robots right? Maybe a Half-Robot template then? Wasn't there a pretty cool template like that in Dungeon Magazine once? Although I absolutely LOVE the idea of Robot Augmentation. ^_^
Anyways, a radioactive golem would be pretty unique.
While it would be unique, it would also be impractical. What construct crafter wants to even be NEAR such a thing let alone try and sell it? At best it would have to stick to guarding a vault and never be able to leave; at worst it would certainly never be able to even get CLOSE to it's master. Now personally, I'd LOVE to see a Horacalcum Golem.

S'all good, I've been doing the same thing. We're only six days into the new year so it'll take some time to get used to it.
Also, in the same vein as the pickled punk, I really want to see the mellified man done as an awesome monster. Ooze, undead, aberration... I don't care. I think it has the capability of being an amazing creature.

The skymetals aren't world specific they're more game specific but I could still see it being more inner sea bestiary 2 and not bestiary 5
Actually, skymetals (other than adamantine) are world-specific. They have all appeared in either Campaign Setting or Adventure Path products, and were not included in Ultimate Equipment in the special materials section.

I would not seeing some creatures "inspired" by monsters from cartoons such as Jonny Quest, The Herculoids, He-Man(both versions), Thundercats(both versions), Swatt Kats, Pirates of Darkwater, Inhumanoids, Thundarr the Barbarian, etc.
I remember on episode of Thundarr were they fought an alien that could burrow through solid rock, shoot webs from it's four arms that Thundarr couldn't cut with his sun sword, and had eye beams that could dispel magic and damage/stun targets. Could also use it's eye beams like to counterspell but was vulnerable to the common cold which weakened it a lot.

I would be down with a Mok playable race.....and a sun sword.

I would love to see a chaotic neutral Cheshire cat (outsider or fey) that just happens to be in range to be an improved familiar.
I think something could be worked out there considering jaberwokeys and bandersnatches are around, though not 100% on the copyrights there.
A couple suggestions for a regular familiar include jackalope, duck, and penguin.
Other than those I think I just really want to see cool templates. I was thinking of some kind of colossal or kaiju template. I mean a lot of those giant things from movies were just normal things big after all.
| Dragon78 |
Because all they are as described are primitive selfish cavemen which is not a real monster but primitive humans. Now if they give them a more monstrous form and make them monstrous humanoids then we have a creature. Maybe they have a "selfishness aura" or a curse effect they can inflict on creatures other then themselves. Maybe the more selfish they are the more monstrous in appearance they become, possibly they are a cursed race that was once human.
