Looks like a very interesting book....damn that it is only available on pdf...I can't look at a computer screen that long.
Sidenote: Also this thread is on page 3...:)

I am limiting the lists to ten each...as I could go on forever on the things I like...the list of things that 'bug' me might be shorter than ten though...
What about Golarion do you like?
1) I like the gods and the pantheons. I like how the sorta of racial pantheons...but it is not as a big of a thing. For some reason I really like Calistria.
2) I like what they did with elves and gnomes.
3) I like Cheliax and The World Wound as they bring Devils and Demons more to the forefront than your typical campaign setting.
3) I like the kitchen sink approach...I feel it is more realistic than many people think.
4) I like the fact they killed off Aorden and threw out the whole prophecey stuff.
5) I like the history.
6) I like the Great Beyond set up.
7) I like the unsolved mysteries.
8) I like that they have not yet gaved a definite answear to the good or evil nature of Hermea.
9) I like Absalom...the Starstone...etc. Can't wait till I see it explored more.
10) I love the fact that I get three books of new setting material every month.
Bonus: I like that the novels are not canon.
What about Golarion bugs you?
I am going to phase these as 'I wished'...
1) I wished there was just a little less Lovecraft in the setting.
2) I wished they was more cultural diversity among the non-humans. Like a tribe of good orc...or a good drow city...or just different cultures among say dwarves.
3) I wish dwarves would get a little more love.
4) I wish for a road map of Golarion.
5) I wish they would explore the nations various militaries more.
6) I wish there was a little bit more 'bleed' between the countries and region.
7) I wish Numria was just more Geographicaly isolated.
8) I wish for a few more gods.
9) I wish the god of magic was so much into making magical socieries.
10) I wish for a PrC for a whorshippers of Calistria. And that Calistria even gets more love,
Neither list is exhaustive...so if you or anybody has specfic areas feel free to ask.

Hankering for some questions, eh?
1) What's your favorite of the Outer Planes? What do you like about it?
2) Which group of evil outsiders that isn't one of the big three (daemons, demons, and devils) is your favorite? Why?
3) Which is your favorite continent on Golarion outside of Avistan and Garund?
4) What's your favorite non-core player race? Why?
5) What's your favorite non-player humanoid? Why?
6) Non-evil outsiders, which are your favorite three, and what do you like about each?
7) Which of the planets in the Golarion system that aren't Golarion do you think is the most interesting?
8) What's your favorite nation on Golarion?
9) Name some of the top monsters from Pathfinder you would least want to run into when walking down a dark alley...even if that requires the alleyway to be a very wide alleyway for it to fit...
10) Of the demigod outsiders (archdevils, demon lords, eldest, empyreal lords, horsemen, and other such), which three are your favorites, and why?

Hankering for some questions, eh?
Yes I love questions.
1) What's your favorite of the Outer Planes? What do you like about it?
The Abyss. Well I like demons and I like what Pazio did with it...having it grow and spread everywhere.
2) Which group of evil outsiders that isn't one of the big three (daemons, demons, and devils) is your favorite? Why?
Rakshasa. I greatlky love how Pazio has greatly explored this D&D classic monster.
3) Which is your favorite continent on Golarion outside of Avistan and Garund?
It is hard to say as we have not gotten much in exploring the other continents yer...I would have to say I am very curious on seeing South Garund explored more though.
4) What's your favorite non-core player race? Why?
Tiefling. I have loved them since waaay back in 2nd ed Planescape. I like the idea of somweone born of evil struggling to do good. Strive to be better than the sum of their parts.
5) What's your favorite non-player humanoid? Why?
Oh...I can't say I really have a overall favorite.
6) Non-evil outsiders, which are your favorite three, and what do you like about each?
Ghaele: I like using them as allys to the PCs at higher levels.
Lillend: I like bards...and it good to see bardfs get some friends in high places.Lantern Archons: I like them...I don't really know
7) Which of the planets in the Golarion system that aren't Golarion do you think is the most interesting?
Castrovel I find most interesting but would love to see them all developed more.
8) What's your favorite nation on Golarion?
Taldane
9) Name some of the top monsters from Pathfinder you would least want to run into when walking down a dark alley...even if that requires the alleyway to be a very wide alleyway for it to fit...
Any of the evil ones...or the neutrals that like to eat humans.
10) Of the demigod outsiders (archdevils, demon lords, eldest, empyreal lords, horsemen, and other such), which three are your favorites, and why?
This I have to get back to you on as I am currently reading the Chronicles of the Righteous...

1) The Abyss, eh? Which three demon lords (Lamashtu not included) are your favorites, then?
2) What three demons do you like the most, and what do you like about them?
3) What three subjects (a particular race, a plane, some country, the gods, an organization, or whatever) would you be most excited to see Paizo put out a book on, and why?
4) Magic items, list off some of your favorites, and what do you like about them? Flavor, some crazy experience you've had in a game with them, just for general use?
5) Are there any kinds of player races you'd like to see exist that don't? Whether something general, like an insectoid humanoid/monstrous humanoid or a chaotic/lawful planetouched, or something specific from a previous edition of D&D or some other source, or even something mentioned in Golarion canon somewhere that hasn't been statted up yet?
6) Dragons, which ones are your favorites? What for? And would you want to live in a land ruled by your favorite kind of dragon?
7) Monstrous humanoids, there's a bunch! Any favorites? Any you want to see get some more time in the spotlight? What do you like about 'em? Do you prefer your monstrous humanoids slightly alien but ultimately neutral or even good, or do you prefer the incorrigibly evil hordes?
8) Castrovel, what do you like about it? Is it the legions of hot lashunta riding dinosaurs around? The elves? The formians? The dinosaurs and other monsters themselves? Just the notion of having high adventure on a jungle planet?
9) What creatures that've been mentioned as coming out in Bestiary 4 are you most looking forward to?
10) What creatures (whether specifics or generalities) are you most hoping will be in Bestiary 4?
John Kretzer |
1) The Abyss, eh? Which three demon lords (Lamashtu not included) are your favorites, then?
Nocticula, Jezelda, and Andirifkhu
2) What three demons do you like the most, and what do you like about them?
Succubus, Glabrezu, and Marilith...Pretty much the same reason...because they show CE does not have to be raging brutes.
3) What three subjects (a particular race, a plane, some country, the gods, an organization, or whatever) would you be most excited to see Paizo put out a book on, and why?
1) Taldane: I like old Empire that are past their glory days. I see alot of interesting potential there.
2) Calistria and her church: My favorite current character is a whorshipper of hers and more infomation on her would great.
3) Witchs outside of Irrrisen: My above character is a witch...and would like to see other witch traditions explored.
4) Magic items, list off some of your favorites, and what do you like about them? Flavor, some crazy experience you've had in a game with them, just for general use?
Boots of Sprining and Striding: 2 reasons they are very useful and my group have adopted my nickname for the 'Nikes'.
Portable Hole: I had a character who loved fashion that pretty much turned into a dressing room/closet.
I would love to see the Wolfen from the movie of the ssame name be PCable(though they would have down power them).
6) Dragons, which ones are your favorites? What for? And would you want to live in a land ruled by your favorite kind of dragon?
I really don't have a favorite kind of dragon...they are all great. I probably would not want to live in a land ruled by dragons.
I like a large variety of creatures.
8) Castrovel, what do you like about it? Is it the legions of hot lashunta riding dinosaurs around? The elves? The formians? The dinosaurs and other monsters themselves? Just the notion of having high adventure on a jungle planet?
I would say all of that combined.
9) What creatures that've been mentioned as coming out in Bestiary 4 are you most looking forward to?
I can't say any mention yet have me looking forward...it is more of caution interest. I always get nervous around the 4th Bestiary. Though Pazio did wow me with the third one...so we will see.
10) What creatures (whether specifics or generalities) are you most hoping will be in Bestiary 4?
Werefoxes

I know James, the other James, Wes, and Jason, but not you. What's your role in Paizo?
I am merely a loyal customer, a frequent member of these boards, and a fan of their works.
Though once at my job with UPS unloading trucks I moved one of their packages.
I would refer you to my first...or second post where I introduced myself.
Luthorne |
1) What upcoming products that Paizo is putting out are you most interested in and/or excited about? And why?
2) If you were in a game set on Castrovel, would you rather people be natives of Castrovel (like lashuntas, elves, or perhaps some sort of planetouched), or would the party being visitors from Golarion be of more interest to you? Or does it all depend on the game?
3) If you like succubi, and you like jungle planets, how do you feel about moon jungle succubi? Ever wanted to do anything regarding the Moonscar (minus the module...or would you love to be in that too)?
4) Not even a good dragon? What kind of non-humanoid would you want to have ruling a city? Or do you prefer humanoids ruling humanoids? You...type-ist, you? (Geez next you'll be a subtype-ist to boot!)
5) You listed off some azata as being your favorite...do you like the idea of azata being involved with things on the Material Plane, or prefer them running around on the Celestial Planes and such? Do you think an organization founded by some azata on the material plane for good-willed adventurers to support each other as they fight evil and go on lots of adventures would be fun?
6) Are you a fan of any third party splatbooks or publishers? If so, which ones and what did you like about them?
7) Got some favorite spells? If so, which ones, and why do you like them?
8) Should I take your chosen avatar as an indication as to which iconic is your favorite? Regardless of the answer, which is your favorite, and why? Shallow reasons are acceptable!
9) Bestiary 3 wowed you, eh? Name off some of your favorite monsters that made their appearance there, and why they wowed you! Saying 'all of them' is cheating, even if it's true!
10) Which regions in Tian Xia are your favorites, if any?
John Kretzer |
1) What upcoming products that Paizo is putting out are you most interested in and/or excited about? And why?
Excited about( Can't wait till I get my hands on):
-The World Wound and Demon's Revisited: I always liked more info on demons
-Towns of the Innersea and Castles of the Inneer Sea: I love these books they are filled with little details that bring Golarion to life.
-Quests & Campaigns: I realli like Ulktimate Campaign and this book is Golarion support for that book.
-Blood of the Moon: I really like lycanthropes so more info and a chance to play one is really great for me
-Inner Sea NPC codex: I love using NPCs vs the PCs so more statblocks are useful...and also we will get little more detaiuls about Golarion.
Interested in ( as I like the idea but have reservations or I want to wait and see what Pazio has done with it)
-Mythic Adventures and the Golarion books that go with it Mythic Realms and mythic Orgins: I like the idea and want to see what Pazio has done with it.
-Magical Marketplace: I really love new gears (or options) but with the more there are out there the more chance of something being a game breaker.
2) If you were in a game set on Castrovel, would you rather people be natives of Castrovel (like lashuntas, elves, or perhaps some sort of planetouched), or would the party being visitors from Golarion be of more interest to you? Or does it all depend on the game?
As a player: I would do whatever the GMs wants for the game.
As a GM: I would allow a mixed party.
3) If you like succubi, and you like jungle planets, how do you feel about moon jungle succubi? Ever wanted to do anything regarding the Moonscar (minus the module...or would you love to be in that too)?
I love the idea of the jungle succubus and would love to do something with it eventualy...I want to pick up that module though.
4) Not even a good dragon? What kind of non-humanoid would you want to have ruling a city? Or do you prefer humanoids ruling humanoids? You...type-ist, you? (Geez next you'll be a subtype-ist to boot!)
The problem with even good dragons is they look at the other races as lesser...true good dragons tend to take on a parential role...which is something I don't want my goverment to take that role.
I would not have any problem with a non-humaniod ruler. Well except for a ooze king or queen.
That is a very good idea...I like it. Consider it stolen.
6) Are you a fan of any third party splatbooks or publishers? If so, which ones and what did you like about them?
I am not a big fan of 3rd party publishers...though I did like Fantasy Flights 3.0/3.5 stuff(Dragonstar, Midnight, etc).
From Pathfinder I like Dreamscarred Psionics Unleashed: I like how they updated the 3.5 rules for psionics to PF.
7) Got some favorite spells? If so, which ones, and why do you like them?
Unnatural Lust: Best spell to prevent escapes or really disrupt the enemy.
This is a combo: Pugwampi's Grace(Inner Sea Magic pg69) and Deliberating Portent(UM:227). Combined they make GM or players weep.
Pup Shape: The first time I used it saved the entire party.
8) Should I take your chosen avatar as an indication as to which iconic is your favorite? Regardless of the answer, which is your favorite, and why? Shallow reasons are acceptable!
My favorite iconics is Feyia I just like her history and appearence.
9) Bestiary 3 wowed you, eh? Name off some of your favorite monsters that made their appearance there, and why they wowed you! Saying 'all of them' is cheating, even if it's true!
Adlet: I like wolves.
Akhlut: I thought a cross between a killer whale and a wolf would be silly...but it was actualy kinda of cool.Animal Lords: a old favorite from 1st ed.
Catfolf: Always worried catfolfs in the game...but I like this version of them.
Demodand:a old favorite from 1st ed.
Incubus: If you have succubus you should have the other side too
Derhil: Flying apes...take that Wizards of Oz.
Faerie Dragons: a old favorite from 1st ed.
Flumph: How can you not be wowed by the Flumph...actualy I had a 1st level character almost killed by these things.
Gardua: Just looks awesome
Cannon Golem: When I threw one of these at my players....prioceless.
Gorynych: Something about these I just like...will have to use one in my upcoming game.
Graveknight:...sometimes it good not having the BBG a caster.
Jacklewere: a old favorite from 1st ed. Can the wolfwere be far behind?
Jorogumo: Spider Ladies are awesome. Why do ypou think Lolth and Drow have been so popular?
I hope that is a large enough sample.
10) Which regions in Tian Xia are your favorites, if any?
I like most of them...would like more info on them though.
John Kretzer |
10) Of the demigod outsiders (archdevils, demon lords, eldest, empyreal lords, horsemen, and other such), which three are your favorites, and why?
Having finished reading Chronicle of the Righteous...
1) Arshea
2) Nocticula
Both because of their take on sex. And I like seductive characters...
3)Ashava: Because I am at times feel very lonely.
Some Honorable mention:Black Butterfly:I love the art
John Kretzer |
WHy is it so dangerous?
I don't know...I guess you could trip and hurt yourself. Or you could belong to a religion that forbids dancing...
Published or homebrew?
Both...I like published campaign settings, but occasionaly creat my own. As a matter of fact I am currently working on one right now.
PLayer or GM?
I GM and play.
John Kretzer |
What is your favorite thing to have rooted off a corpse in roleplaying?
Mmmm....I would have to go with the false platinum eyepathches.
If you've looted corpses in real life...what is WRONG with you?
I have not looted any corpses in real life.
Goblins (Pathfinder) or Orcs (Also Pathfinder)
Orcs....the Goblins are at times a bit too silly.

If this was to be your very last internet posting, what words of wisdom would you want to pass on?
A couple...
- Life is too important to take seriously.
- Never let the evil of others keep you from helping those who need help
- Never get involved in a land war in Asia
- Do not take the topics of relgion or poltics personaly
- Never tell anyone else how to live their life if it is not harming you
- Generalization are often wrong...and lazy.
- Never Ever write anything down rather it is in a diary or on some social network that you would not read on live TV in front of billions of veiwers including family and close friends
- Don't piss on anybody else's interest
Though I hope this is not my last internet post....as that would be a bad thing either on a personal level(I suddenly die) or globaly ( as in something happens that caused the world to loose internet access).
Well I am about to hit the 'submit' button now...crossing my fingers...
