Drogon Owner - Enchanted Grounds, President/Owner - Enchanted Grounds |
Shades of Ice, part 2 has a (itty-bitty) dragon.
There's a very good "dragon hunt" hook in The Ruby Phoenix Tournament module.
There are dragons-aplenty in the Year of the Shadow Lodge special scenario from Season 2.
To Scale Dragon could easily have a dragon substituted for the signature fight of the scenario.
Sewer Dragons of Absalom also offers a chance at misdirection (or an actual dragon, depending on how you want it to play out).
And there is an ancient dragon trapped in The Asmodeus Mirage. That would be a pretty cool "hunting" scenario, actually, if you tweaked the story to be a search for the dragon in the Mirage.
Some of the above options assume you have control over the story in a home game, of course.
Edit: Added links to the products. And if you want any advice on how I would handle adjustments to scenarios like Sewer Dragons, Asmodeus Mirage, or To Scale the Dragon, just let me know.

In this case it is kind of sad that we are doing PFS, some of those ideas are grand Drogon.
The Sewer Dragons of Absalom misdirection is still an awesome choice. I have freaked out multiple tables (and was in a panicked sweat, myself, when I first played it before running it). I highly recommend this for your group. With the right emphasis on certain parts of the story, you'll simply be whetting your players' appetites.
But with Rats, Shades pt 2, Year of the Shadow Lodge, and The Ruby Phoenix Tournament, you still have several organized play options for the "payoff."
Also, you can always take your players on a "side quest" where they play the characters without earning XP, fame, or gold, and are just in it for the story. The Asmodeus Mirage would be an awesome choice for such an excursion, especially considering its current retired status, and the fact that it was written as a PFS adventure.

Absolutely do this! Especially if they really want to fight a dragon, the misdirect is tons of fun. For me, it was an especially good one to then say "dragons are a little tough at this level."
Solid dragon fights take some necessary experience:

Players of the appropriate level (for the module) will not be able to kill the dragon in The Asmodeus Mirage...
This is true.
But seeing as the only way to play the scenario would be outside of any legal organized play option, there is nothing holding anyone back from changing the dragon to be whatever CR and/or type they want it to be.

Of course - just if the set-up was a Pathfinder game with a killable dragon in it, then it, well, isn't :-)

I've run it twice, and that fight can be very, very nasty.
Great combat.
