I thought I already had made a PFOFan account, but apparently not. Why is gender a required field, but not birthdate? There are some laws requiring a minimum age (13) to register on many sites, but I don't think there are any about gender identification (and the setting doesn't include an option for people who don't identify within the binary).
Anyway, I'm registered now and set up a bookmark for the TS3 connection. Thanks for the link, Hobs!

Oh indeed. I do not understand how you folks over there do what you do. It would be like me here in Philly trying to coordinate online time with someone in Honolulu.
Odd: I don't recall signing up for the PAX board. I have an identity on the PFO Fan board. I'll have to go check.
~~Oh of course: had to for the interview, but I used my other email address. Sorry for the bother...

So I'll build a tank for the group. Possibly a Warden, but I am very familiar with Guardian, the Guardian's shouts are effective taunts if our DPS are conscientious, and Guardian armor mitigation may be be hard for the self-healing Warden to match. Maybe I'll try both and decide between them at level 6.

The time we agreed on was 8:00-10:00 pm Eastern Standard Time, Tuesday evenings (though Thursday had been kicked around).
I started a hunter from scratch and it takes you to about mid 7th to get out of the tutorial. I suggest we start at that level and strongly suggest that the people brand new to LOTRO run the tutorial. It does a decent job of getting you familiar with the game basics.
Unfortunately, I forgot crafting (which I thought we could do in our off-time) gives XP. I set my toon up to turn hides into leather, logged onto another website while I waited for the grind to finish, and when I came back, I'd slipped into 8th lvl...grr.

I'm available, but trying to get the 4 other people to commit to, or have the time for, twice a week might be tough. Remember, the point of the Tuesday night group is to keep our characters together in level and quests...to experience the game as a group...so if running it twice a week means we increase the chance that people will be absent, I'd rather not.
Now, if you're looking to see who else is around for playing alts on other days, I'd be more than happy to.

I do already have a level 6 alt (hobbit warden named Hebeing) active and will of an occasion be playing him leaving my Guardian (Habeing) alone unless the rest of us are on.
Also a starting rogue, but I don't recall his name off hand. Should have named him "chucklebeing".
~~edit~~ just recalled his name: 'Coppers'

Looks like a full client will hit the Play store soon, in the meanwhile:
Beta for Android
Note, this is not the remote client currently in the store.

The preferred method of getting the information is joining DakCenturi's site PFO Fan.
DakCenturi pays out of pocket for the TS Server. Registering with his site does not take long and as far as I know, it is the first and only PFO Fan site!!
Please support his community focused venture, register on his site, the look in the forum for the TS3 Voice Server.

If you want to create some groups to use shot me a PM and I can create channels and the like for people. It is a 75 slot server so for now (until PFO gets much bigger I don't have a problem with PFO people using it more often.) Once PFO gets bigger I'll either upgrade the server or lock it down a little bit more so that it can be used for things like the Guides program to help new players or settlement/guild negotiations etc.

1 person marked this as a favorite. |

1. Download and install TeamSpeak if you don't already use it.
2. Create an account on PFO Fan so you can access the TeamSpeak setup parameters in order to connect to the right place.
Connect using teamspeak and start talking.

How?
Download the latest TeamSpeak Client from their Downloads page and install the software.
Connect to the server as instructed in this video, what is important to you starts at 1:00.

Server Password: (Register and log on to PFO Fan to see)
EDIT: Oops, beat me to it, Thanks Being.

If I understand the question, when setting up the unique connection for PFOFan's server there will be a control on the right, if memory serves, for setting the client password enabling access to the specific server. That password is on the PFO website as described above. I think I recall that you have to set up a new connection in TS to use only once, thereafter it is selectable and automated.

I have a server that I setup for my PFOFan.com site that once I got a little further along I was going to open up to PFOFan.com users. I've been super busy between work and a new side company so haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to the PFOFan.com site.
In any case, I've posted the login info up. It is a 75 person server, which should accommodate most of the people now. If someone wants to chip in I can upgrade it to 100 or possibly more.
PFOFan.com Link to server info. *NOTE* You need to have an account to access the password.
PLEASE DO NOT DISTRIBUTE THE PASSWORD ON PUBLIC FORUMS
If individuals are interested in helping out admin the server in some regards please PM me.
Bump, and still wondering why this is not stickied!!
