Removing unconscious besides Smelling Salts?

Advice

Recently 4/5 of my players failed a single color spray check and fell unconscious and the remaining player asked if there's ways to wake them up.

At the time I couldn't find anything so I told him that he could spend a standard action to try to wake them up allowing the downed character to do the will save again.

After the fact I looked up smelling salts and realized I basically bypassed the item.

Is there a correct way they can go about waking unconscious characters?

Smelling salts is pretty much your only option here.

That said, I'm really confused about how so many got caught in the same color spray. It is next to impossible to hit that many in a lousy 15' cone. They'd basically need to be standing in exactly the right formation...

Yeah that's basically what happened.

Party enters room, Rogue moves ahead to scout, perception check uncovers several stealthed enemies.

Party stays at entrance, Bard inspires, everyone else shoots or casts.
Lone Sprite flies up to party and color sprays.

And the party learned about tactics... Next time they want to see their eyelids, they should have a drink, instead.

As far as the RAW is... yea, they kinda screwed. asleep is a standard to wake, or a shout (depending on how/why asleep) unconcious is KO'd for a duration.
