PFS Bard Gear

Advice

So I'm slowly gaining money and I'm suddenly wondering where to spend it and the 4 Prestige Points I amassed (Yes I know 2 towards the Wand of CLW is smart, yes I'm doing it, no this is not a run-on sentence.) But I'm wondering if I should be saving towards something. I will say I'm pretty new to Pathfinder and gear reliant systems in general. So some ideas for the future?

At your level, I'd focus on a MW weapon, MW armor, some scrolls and potions.

Do you see yourself as a melee bard, an archer bard, or a controller bard? What spells do you have?

I'm a Melee Bard, and Currently I have Grease and Touch of Gracelessness. Dancing Lights, Ghost Sounds, Detect Mage, and Prestidigitation for Cantrips.

The First thing I did buy was a MW Chainshirt. I have about 3 weapons on my character, Longsword, Longspear and Shortbow.

Silver Crusade

Prestige points can buy you a solid bow, if that ranged attack becomes important enough.

There are lots of ways to go with your first 2000 gold. You could buy a magic weapon for the increased to hit and damage, or raise your chainshirt up, or even buy mithril (al) to keep weight down. Utilitarian items like a handy haversack are wonderful. So many choices.

This is why I make a list of items that I want for a character. I suggest you do the same. That way you can pick what item you want to save up for first.

Don't forget consumables.

Alchemical items: Acid (10 gp), Alchemist fire (20 gp), Alchemical glue (20 gp), Antiplague (50 gp), Antitoxin (50 gp), Ghost salt (20 gp), Smokestick (20 gp), Sneezing powder (60 gp), Tanglefoot bag (50 gp)

Good scrolls for bards:
1st (25 gp): comprehend languages, detect secret doors, disguise self, solid note
2nd (150 gp): delay poison, detect thoughts, honeyed tongue, invisibility, locate object, sound burst
3rd (375 gp): good hope, see inivisibility

Good potions for bards (and others):
0th (25 gp): purify food and drink, stabilize
1st (50 gp): ant haul, crafter's fortune, endure elements, enlarge person, entangle, hold portal, jump, gravity bow or lead blades, longstrider, magic weapon, shield of faith
2nd (300 gp): barkskin, create pit, spider climb, web

And of course the clw wand

Haversack to carry it all in.

Shadow Lodge

I also make a list of things to buy. Rebuilding at level 2 helps with that. As far as prestige points, I spend the first two on the wand, then try and save up to 20 or so in case I need a resurect & restoration. Then start spending them on vanities. Another thing you might pick up early with prestige is a Title - many factions have them and they give bonuses on certain missions. And it's nifty RP to have yourself announced as a Hellknight or something.

Just one minor point, Raise Dead is 16 PP, and you need two Restorations for the two permanent negative levels at 4 PP apiece. If you just opt for using Prestige to pay for it, you will need 24 PP on hand for it.

Money-wise, Raise Dead is 5450 gp, and, IIRC, each Restoration is 1,280 each.
