-Magma sharpening stone- cool idea, slight alteration (limiting uses perday) made it in my Kingmaker game as a gift from Magnar Varn.
-Patchwork Kitty- weird, useful, disgusting, awesome, and memorable: I have a friend that is begging for this for his witch!
-Phonex feather and its brother item- Had the same idea but you guys split your votes, one was written slightly better than the other but kudos to both, great minds think alike!
-Both versions of Abadar's purse/moneychanger- awesome-sauce gave me a great campaign lead (the one that charged 10%) as all of the gifts from the church of Abadar had a greedy side effect.
-Golden Monkey of Greed- you are already a beloved item in my kingmaker game and you really impressed me, how you missed the top 32 is beyond me, you are awesomesauce.
-Will look this up when home but someone made an item that turns into a submersable watercraft that I though was kind of awesome, just not home at time of post.

Yep. If the Beardforge inspires anyone to take ranks in Profession (hairstyling), then it was totally worth it.

I loved the body bag item that let you stuff a corpse into it. The group I gm for is obsessed with collecting dead npcs for interrogation later. Thought this item would be absolutely perfect! I wish I'd had the forethought to grab the info on it so we could use it in our game. Oh well. Kudos to whomever wrote that!

Oh and the hydraulic push alchemy gloves. Can't remember the name.
The Captain's Tricorne - the one that gives you a full crew of invisible servants plus lets you vaporize them to heal your ship.
The vial of create pit as a thrown splash weapon was interesting, I can see why it didn't make it though.
Never saw the gold shuriken, myself >_>
The Magpie Totem. I can't see why an adventurer would use it. But I liked it nonetheless.
The Jellyfish submarine (can't remember correct name on this one either), I'm kind of surprised it didn't show up. Voted for it every time it came up.

I don't remember the specific things I really liked, but I do know that I saw a fair number of items that didn't make the top 32 that gave me a much more jazzed feeling than many of the items that did make the top 32. I'm a little disappointed by the overall crop of top 32 items (given the universe of items I reviewed in voting).

I remember that item... it was basically the text of the unseen crew spell, which means it was a spell-in-a-can.

Yet another spell I didn't know existed...
Ah, Pirates of the Inner Sea. Don't have that one, and haven't run any casters high enough to cast 5th level spells and thus tripped over it on the PFSRD. That would be why.

Oh, just thought of one more. The window/painting that doubled as a hidey-hole. Made me think of the windows from Problem Sleuth.
Retreating Window. That's in my keep file and was in my personal Top 32.

I was also a fan of the Seanettle Submersible. Not perfect, but I liked it and I could see using it in game.
I also liked the Magpie Totem. I can see why it didn't make the Top 32, but I still really liked it.
Haven't seen anyone mention my item, yet. *cough* So you know...you should get on that. :P

Well, I'm going to be brave and let my item be up for criticism on Friday when that thread opens up. I'm pretty sure I know the problems with my item, but I'd still like to hear why others didn't like it (or thought it was good).

I liked agirlnamedbob's item. The requirements for it fit the function perfectly, and I can easily imagine multiple members of the party fighting over it.
Way to put your neck out there, Cheapy. :)

Thanks, Cheapy! :P
I'm going to put my item up for critique once things open as well. I think I a.) played it a little too safe and b.) fell into a few traps, but I'm still proud of it as a first time submission.
Next year, y'all better watch yourselves, though.

I believe that was my submission, and ya, after I posted it, I realized I didn't have a duration. I really thought I'd make the top 32, but after reading the other submission, I realized now that I should have added some visual text for flavor. Although I'm particularly pround of the hit/miss usage and that only a Druid could/can make them. Man, I was really looking foward to the next step.

If you're talking about the locket, that was mine. If it was the book, that was another guy who did my idea better.

Remember, we sorted through the items the community voted for the most times.
I remember a couple of those items. They were in the top 100. Patchwork cat, captain's tricorne, the corpse book item (can't remember its name, but I paid homage to it as something that would be required for Rappan Athuk), oh yeah the beardforge. We saw all of those. I think all of those were top 100 or so. (actually the beardforge might not have been top 100).

Sadly the Druid-only limitation was the dealbreaker for me, I liked the item up until that line. Wasn't too fond of the weird "if you miss by less than X it's counted as a hit for duration" either. Seemed a bit too bookkeeping-heavy (as well as requiring the GM to tell the player the enemy's AC, or have to answer a question every round they missed >_>)

Really? I liked the locket... Though I also saw it first. I think I may have only seen the other one once. <<; Though, I'm learning my tastes may be rather philistine, so what do I know.

In no particular order...
Blackbriar Boots: I LOVED these! My personal favorite boot item this year.
The hat that you can put a feather token in: I really like items that interact with other items. I frequently upvoted this one, as well as the "dragon claw" that let you stick a pearl of power onto your staff.
The candle that tells you when someone has died: I know it's a simple idea, and arguably not "superstar", but the description was so evocative and it's such a good fit in the fantasy genre. As well as offering the slim hope that perhaps the linked person might only be on another plane!
Ghoul-slayer Gloves: these had a high cool factor for me because I was visualizing the gauntlets from the old computer game Heretic. I WANT some magic gloves that let me blast undead with crackling electric bolts!
The pillow that has a /sleep/ effect when used as an improvised weapon: I laughed so hard at this idea (pillow fight!!!). It's a bit of a silly item and I knew it wouldn't end up in the top 32, but I'm still pretty fond of it.
More later, maybe, as I remember others.

There was a dragon claw staff topper deserved some props and a chess themed amulet that was total awesome-sauce but I guess we should take a hiatus on this thread let the top 32 bask. This thread was by no means meant to disrespect your accomplishment guys, with the exception of a few I never saw I voted for each of you at one point or another.

Well, I'm going to straight-up say that my body-container item was a lot more gimmicky. I'm thinking my big focus for next year will be coming up with a core concept and aesthetics with immediate "wham" factor, rather than coming up with a single effect and then spending 3 paragraphs clarifying that effect.
Well, regardless: Thank you!

The other was the a matryoshka that dealt with the elements. I thought it was really cool the way there were two sets of effects that could be mixed and matched.
I'm glad I saved both of them off, because they're both going to see use in my games :)
