I am proud to announce the appointment of West Michigan’s newest Venture-Lieutenant, Kelvin Frizzell! Kelvin has been working very hard since he broke into the gaming scene to put together regular game days in Grand Rapids and has been doing very well to support the rest of the West-Michigan region such as Kalamazoo, and Greeneville as much as he can. Kelvin will be officially in charge of Grand Rapids, Muskegon, and Greeneville. He also has overlap into Kalamazoo, and areas of Central Michigan.

So I am trying to get together a pathfinder group for Bay City, MI. I have a few new players that are interested in getting started, and I have been playing for a while now. I have never actually done GM before. I was wondering if you knew a group here, or if you could maybe help us get started here. My name is Joe Martinez, I am looking forward to your response soon. While I don't know of a group in Bay City yet, I'm running a monthly PFS game in Midland, with our next session being Friday Feb. 22nd at Collector's Corner on Jefferson.
I know a while back there was a guy who was looking for a game around your area last Spring. I haven't heard anything from him recently, so I'm not sure if he's still around or not.
If you'd like any help, just let me know. You can find my email in my profile. If my schedule/wife allows, I'd be willing to come up and help if I can.
The most important thing is to download and read the Guide to PFS Organized Play. Get familiar with that. You could also download the free First Steps intro scenarios, they're a good way to introduce players to the in-game society.

So where does this stand in Grand Rapids? I am looking to dig into Pathfinder Society and get my feet wet but don't see anywhere that it is being played in Grand Rapids.

There are a couple of different venues in the Grand Rapids area that play PFS. Check out this website for most of the game announcements:
The current main games that I see are up on Plainfield, in Greenville, and Cedar Springs. There's another location on the south side that is just trying to get started. Each location typically runs games every other week/twice a month.

Juce, as ph mentioned check out michiganpfs.org In the forums section you'll find where the different locations list games being played in the area (or are supposed to). I'm fairly certain that there's PFS being played every other Saturday at Big Kidz Games in GR and they're playing this Saturday.
