GM needs help: recommend a trap-heavy dungeon

3.5/d20/OGL

Could someone recommend a trap-heavy published dungeon? I'm running out of time and need to exercise my players' rogue.

3.0, 3.5, Pathfinder... I'll even convert 1st or 2nd edition if I have to.

Thanks in advance!

Let me know how it works out. Keep in mind that this dungeon is not for beginners or the faint of heart.

The Vivified Labyrinth from CoCT Escape from Old Korvosa gave the rogue lots of work (and everyone else). Its a trap-laden hunting playground for rakshasas. It was written for 3.5 but you might find some PF conversions on the threads. Lvl 8-9 IIRC.

The Mud Sorcerers' tomb, a Tomb of Horrors like dungeon.

The 3.5 version was published in one of the last Dungeon issues (the paper, Paizo ones).

My work's firewall is blocking useful sites, but I recall that Tomb of Horrors was revised for 3.5. I even remember something about WotC giving it away free as a pdf.

Sovereign Court

1 person marked this as a favorite.

ToH is not a trap heavy dungeon ... it is a PC killing device ... and soooo much fun. ;)

Liberty's Edge

You don't need a dungeon. Just look at the Grimtooth traps books. I think a couple were update to 3.5. Nasty stuff.

These are good suggestions - thanks.

Keep 'em coming!

look up Tuker's kobolds, their kobolds who kill players using traps, a 12th lvl party got a TPK except one person on it, and that was because they went to the final floor, to fight a balor.

The Exchange

Johny Destroyer,

what is the level of your party? if they are high level, I hear that Tomb of The Iron Medusa is good. There's also a 3.5 module called "Seven Swords of Sin". Both of these adventures can be found here in the Paizo site, in "Pathfinder modules"
