Ok so its two animated steel lamellar armor sets that I guess act as bodyguards that if he chose to he could wear, but him choosing to is probably a rarity due to the lack of the +5 enhancement compared to his own. So its basically two animated armors that follow his commands.

Two animated suits of armor that also look just like him, mind you. Bet he could play hell with people in a dark room.

That's the idea. :D

All I can think of is the fight from G Gundam where the British Fighter had multiple minor units that looked like the true unit.

And it is the entirety of how the AniObjects work. I thought I understood it but I can't seem to get it right anymore.

all i know is the dc was +% to craft them bbecuse magus' dot get permanency. otherwise Im just looking t them as constructs haha.

How is it that Shisio wears and benefits from 5 rings?

Ketsueki wrote:

Technically, he doesn't. He can have 2 rings active simultaneously normally, just like anyone else.

Then, he can have a third ring active thanks to his hand of glory.

He can also wear two more rings on his toes thanks to his meridian belt, though he can't have them active at the same time as his hand rings. At any given time, he can select which 3 of the 5 rings are currently functioning as a swift action.

The stat block likely assumes all are functional as a matter of ease (even though that is not technically true).

It is actually possible for him (or anyone else) to get a 6th-ring with a ten-ring sword if he so desired.

Very cool, thanks for the info. :)

New to the thread and just wanted to say thank you Raving Dork, your work will get a lot of use in our campaign

Happy to hear it. You be sure to come back and tell us all about it (though be sure to use spoilers if you are using a published adventure).

Yeah I just ran Obrist in a Ambush Scenario... I just want to ask...

Were you insane when you made him?

This implies there is a point in time when Ravingdork wasn't insane. Do you mean to insult this man?

I was saying it from the point of view from an Insane Man to another Insane Man. Meaning if we are currently considered "normal" for ourselves was he insane in comparison.

Ah, good, just making sure you weren't insulting the man after he shared with us his magnificent creations. Would be most rude if you were. :P

@EsperMagic: ~8 My group is will have scars for life.

@Tels: I was thinking that...

@Ravingdork: I ran him as a Mercenary. He was hired by the Big Bad to raid the Caravan my PCs were to protect specifically kidnap the Benefactor's Daughter. They had to deal with him and some additional suits of Animate Armour thanks to the Big Bad adding to his force. Obrist mainly focused on the NPC Guards while his Suits of Armour were pulling these maneuvers to confuse the Guards. The Big Bad's Armours were tying up the PCs and the Elite Guards. When the BBs Armours were taken out the PCs moved to take on Obrist and his 4 Elite AAs. By then the NPC Guards had been knocked unconcious and Obrist Struck at the PCs with 3 AAs while the 4th grabbed the Girl then they all fled. Obrist didn't cast any spell in combat or anything.

Honestly they were outmatched but I had it to where this was mainly a Story Encounter and he is kinda the Mercenary with Honour kinda character right now where he didn't kill anyone and mainly focused on completing the Mission.

No. NO. NO! NO!!!

They got it all wrong. Again!

When will they ever learn?

My portrait is supposed to look like THIS.

It's those upstart rebels I tell you! Always trying to make me look like a crazy old kook off his rocker rather than the brilliant overlord I really am! You'd think they'd appreciate the extended vacation my undead labor force gave them, but no! You'd think they wouldn't miss toiling under the hot sun day after day, but what do I get when I block it out for them? Endless scorn! The ungrateful little ants have to try and destroy my magnificent countenance! Why!? Why I say!?

Now that Mythic Adventures is (sort of) out, I'm planning on making some mythic characters based off of those in my character gallery.

But first I wanted your input on the matter: Which characters do you guys feel have/should have mythic potential? Which character concepts do you feel should always have been mythic from the very beginning?

(I will be keeping the original non-mythic characters around, so you need no worry about screwing up an existing concept by choosing it.)

Once we've built up a list of peoples' favorites, then I will choose a handful for conversion to the new rules.

Helegur is my first vote for mythic

Many of your higher level characters are very powerful, but some of them really scream 'AWESOME' to me. Araonna Chorster, Helegur, Yiankun, Seregon, and Shishio Dafore all come off as very Mythic even without being actually Mythic themselves. Each one of those 5 has something very unique about them that allows for incredible stories to be told.

Araonna commands a legion of undead in a mobile barracks.
Helegur can lay waste to her enemies from her floating fortress, commanding the whether to destroy her opponents or unleashing her simulacrum army to fight on her behalf.
Yiankun is a pint-sized terror, that makes Medusai jealous of her petrification powers.
Seregon is an unstoppable beast, capable of shaking off even the deadliest of blows with little effort, with skin made of steel.
Shishio is a horror to his foes, the only thing that proves he's still alive, is his need to sleep.

I have not really had a chance to go through every character, but one that really screams at me as Mythic potential, is Sajan "Floating Mountain" Viraj.

Seregon and Aroanna Chorster seem the most mythic to me.

I wouldnt mind seeing mythic RavenKing, Obrist, Shisio

Aroanna and Raven King. I personally would love to see what you would do with Meridith if given the opportunity to make her mythic too because shes a unique concept.

Also Nudel could become even more powerful then her 300 damage attack with Mythic. Those are my favorites that you have created.

ANNOUNCEMENT:

I will no longer be updating characters hosted on The Fools' Court servers (the vast majority of this thread's initial links). Even so, said characters will remain online and accessible through their original links for as long as my subscription service carries them.

If you want up-to-date, accurate, error-free character ideas, please bookmark THIS LINK instead. It has ALL of the characters from earlier in this thread all in one place, plus some new characters and additional resources as well (such as a character template you can use to make your own characters).

I hope you all enjoy having everything all in one place, rather than scattered all over this thread. I will continue adding characters to this thread over time, as before, but will be using SkyDrive from now on. It is simply more reliable and more convenient for all of us.

Dont suppose you could put in the pdf names the character levels. Would make this link totally amazing

Araonna Chorster, the juju oracle.

Nudel is my favorite. I like Lily as Ivy. Hama has a great story. Ruel Whealon is a clever character. Araonna's armor is perfect for her. Another clever character.

Yes, I've read through them all. No, I don't understand them all, but most I do.

Which ones don't you understand? Perhaps I can offer some insight.

I want to see a Mythic Obrist.

Seregon already has a mythic counterpart, though it's from the playtest material. He will be updated to the new rules once I have access to them.

Ravingdork could you make an art gallery of the character portraits that you use for your awesome builds?

Okay. Sure. Here are a few hero portraits.

(Be sure to check back frequently. Seeing as there are some 8,000 pictures for me to upload, it isn't all going to happen at once.)

Wow... I could have sworn I seen one of my old drawings in there...

@ RD, it is posible to add the class and level next to the caracter name in Skydrive? Well, I suppose it is doable, but I mean, would you do it?

By the way, I find Esmeralda to be somewhat lackluster. Her only option is to full attack but she do not seems to be particulary good at DPR nor she have the means to full attck most of times.

Can I recomend the Mobile fighter? She is not using gloves of dueling so she do not lose much and she gain a pounce-like ability.

That would require me to delete all of the characters and files, convert them from DOCX to PDF format, and then re-upload them all over again. I may do it this weekend if I have the time.

I actually have two versions of Esmerelda, one is a standard fighter, and the other is a two-weapon fighter.

I'm not in the mood to rework her from the ground up (again) just now, but if you remind me later I may get around to giving it a try.

Any chance of getting more 20th level characters? I absolutely love them. You make them seem like near deities.

I've added 20th-level versions of the following characters to the gallery, but only because I already had their character sheets on hand:

- Adin Lir
- She'er Falen
- Yiankun Lee

Something to be aware of though: The 20th-level She'er Falen was created from an older version of that character, so you may see some inconsistencies from her younger self. Yiankun Lee was beefed up for an online PbP game, which started her out with slightly higher starting gear than is typical for a 20th-level character and also allowed for two free traits.

EDIT: Looks like they've fallen into the queue behind all of those pictures that I'm STILL uploading (should be done in a day or two). Please be patient. They will be up there before long. You will be able to recognize them easily as they will be listed next to their original counterparts with a "_2" next to their name (at least until I change the naming conventions of all the files).

Also, I'm going to be statting out this character portrait as a mythic character. But I want YOU to tell me her story. Who is she? Why is she mythic? What did she have to do to get there? What's her class/race/level/general build gonna look like?

Please don't get too specific on the stats (leave me some fun), and please don't say antipaladin (too shallow a concept and much too easy an answer).

Bah I was about to say antipaladin till I read your last line...Ok how about a cleric of Urgothoa? Focusing on heavy armor and necromancy? Or an evil holy vindicator?

I was thinking more along the lines of an Inquisitor of Pharasma. I'm going to give her the name Hailey as a place holder.

Hailey has spent her years in service to Pharasma. She first started her service, hunting down and slaying those that would infiltrate the church, seeking to corrupt the faithful. As time went on, she bore witness to many things that has seriously upset her beliefs in Pharasma. She witness those with power and wealth, abusing the spells of clerics of all kinds.

Constantly, they were bringing those that had died, back to life. She felt that this was an abuse of Pharasma's domain, and she has taken it upon herself to permanently slay those that have abused the power granted to them. If she discovers a person that has repeatedly used magic to extend his or her life, or to revive themselves from the dead, she seeks them out to end their life. If she discovers a cleric casting such spells with no qualms about Pharasma's role, she will end them as well.

To aid in her quest, she has specially enchanted her shield to be able to instantly slay those that had violated Pharasma's domain. Hailey can command the skull on her shield to detach itself, flying forth and striking an enemy as if by a finger of death spell (the Shield doubles as a mask of the skull). Some reports claim that Hailey may use this ability multiple times each day (by enchanting incorporating the mask multiple times), though no one has ever actually witnessed this and lived to tell about it.

While hunting a particularly abusive Cleric that loved tampering in the forces of life and death, she interrupted a ritual being performed by a cabal of like-minded spell-casters. The cabal had slaughtered a large number of innocents, and was attempting a ritual to raise all of those killed in a massive feat of magic. Hailey interrupted this ritual at the peak of it's power, causing a backlash that made her more than she was.

I picture her as either a human or an aasimar. I'm thinking a small level dip into fighter for a few feats to augment a shield/sword style, though I don't think she would use the shield for bashing as only fighters or rangers can really pull that off well. She might even wear [url=http://www.d20pfsrd.com/magic-items/magic-armor/specific-magic-armor/celestial-plate-armor]Celestial Plate Armor[/I] (that is no longer 'shining silver') to remain light-weight, but well defended. Her spells are heavily focused on buffs and utilities (mainly to find those who abuse raise dead).

While not actually evil, Hailey is very cold and judgmental (oh, god, the puns). I imagine her as almost wishing she were a nice person, but knowing that nice people don't track down and kill others for violating their faith.

[Edit] BTW, I should mention, that while she hunts down those that use magic to return (or extend) life, she only really hunts down those that are particularly abusive. So people that are constantly brought back from the dead (adventurers), or constantly reviving the dead (the cleric that revives the adventurers) and the like. Classes that have methods of extending life (alchemists, wizards, Monk of the Four Winds) are also her targets. Undead like liches, vampires and graveknights, while not actively hunted down, she doesn't hesitate to pursue them when she discovers them. Basically, people who exist after their time or after they've already died draw her wrath.

 Maybe a Crusader of Urgothoa who leads an Undead Army against the Forces of Urgothoa's Opposing Churches. She is full-filling her destiny.
